Fallout 76

I'm not sure how many hours I'm in, but I'm still having a blast, still have a lot of map to explore, but have completed my CAMP building with metal walls, 3 missile turrets, 1 laser turret, fusion reactor, decontamination shower, jukebox, piano, all crafting benches, and a couple water purifiers to keep me hydrated.

That's from the Excavator Power Armor set. A civilian power armor set used for mining.

Look again, and you'll notice that in that pic, the T-45 helmet is overlapping the Excavator helmet. This seems to happen with PA parts when you switch them sometimes. It only stays that way briefly.

I was just poking fun at it. ;)

Sometimes I want better information on what goes on at my CAMP while I'm gone too. I returned after running a few areas to find three dead diseased Scorchbeasts on top of my CAMP. I just kinda wanted to see that go down.

So, I'm having a bit of frustration currently. I'm up to level 27 and doing my own thing pretty well, but I'm constantly running into enemies that are dozens of levels higher than I am so I'm chewing through ammo and stimpacks like a crazy person. My theory is that I'm getting tossed onto servers with higher level players which is bring the enemy level up out of my range, is this a thing?

Paul Andrew, if a high level player is in the general vicinity, or recently was in the vicinity long enough to cause enemies to spawn, then you will encounter high level enemies. But it is area dependent, and not server dependent. This makes whitespring or any other popular area difficult for low level players.

I found this out early on when I was level 60 something, and my three friends were all below level 20. Were are all on teamspeak together, but I wasn't in their team as I was doing my own thing. I knew that they had just entered a mine and had to exit it in a few minutes, so I decided to try and scare them by hiding outside the mine entrance with a flamer. But as soon as I arrived outside the mine, they suddenly had level 40 and higher enemies spawning around them. I had to go in and save them.

Note: If you are on a team, and walking through an area, the initial enemies spawn at the level of the first person to enter said area. Hordes and newly spawned enemies will be a mix depending on the levels in the team.

Anyone else collecting Power Armor variant paints? I'm ready to infiltrate the Brotherhood of Steel or a Nuka Cola plant it seems.

Yeah, I am. I got the Nuka version, and I'm trying to get enough atoms to purchase the Santa T-51b, with the blinking X-mas lights on it. I have an extra unpainted level 50 suit to apply it to. I wish there was a way to display the suits at your camp, similar to what you see in the Enclave bunker.

Also, PC guys, what extra Ultracite part plans are you holding? I got right legs, two in fact. Looking for a chest and a left leg if anybody is down for trading plans. Will buy plans with caps too, if the price isn't super ridiculous.

And anybody have anything other than explosive vent mods for the Ultracite armor?

I started playing on Xbox One X and i really like it so far. But, i feel like i'm not playing it right....know what i mean? I'm almost level 5, and am just plodding about on my own exploring etc.

Any advice would be great.

unless you have a group of folks you're going to play with, that's kind of how level 5 works. follow the overseer's messages to new places, try out an event when you get near it (the one at the fertilizer plant is great for early on). Look for places, clear them out, loot them, there will often be a pseudo mission to complete, or another overseer log to point you to a new an interesting place.

I personally enjoy the "sweep and clear" nature of some of the early game play, or when you first find a new area; if it's not your style, it's kind of something you may just need to get past, cause once you're higher level, you can play more objective based; "I'm going to go to this place and get screws", " I going to go here and make fusion cores:, "I'm going to go here and hunt these sorts of guys for a certain resource". I'm level 20, and I'm still very much in the "explore the starting "green happy" area, and learn the environment. A few weeks ago I went up to that northern area, and just got tottaly turned off from the game for a bit. a mexican stand off with 8 fish men just wearied me. :p

Okay, PSA for the PC folks.

I have acquired the plans to craft T-60 Jetpacks. As such, I am happy to offer the service of building them for any of you guys that want one. To be honest, all I require for payment is one Stable Violet Flux. That's just one extra than you need to craft it. And yes, you will need to provide the ingredients. They are 17 adhesive, 17 aluminum, 14 asbestos, 9 nuclear material, 5 pure cobalt flux and 5 pure violet flux. Even though the ingredients say pure flux, it's the stable flux you make from the raw that you use.

Anyhow, bring all that, your armor and an extra jar of Violet Flux and I'll craft you one right up. I'm hoping to eventually get the T-51b Jetpack plans, but those are suuuuuuper rare.
