Fallout 3 power armor helmet!! Finished shots 21/03/15!

Re: FALLOUT 3 POWER ARMOR HELMET (and eventual full armor set perhaps?)

I MADE IT JUST IN TIME!!!
Okay, Lots of improvements needed.. But here is the helmet as it stands right now! The big issue has been fogging and the less than perfect clarity of the lended. I'm gonna have to heat bend next time because bending without heat produces micro fractures within the plastic that reduce visibility.
Hope you guys like it!

This turned out better than I could have imagined! I'd like to see more more grunge and weathering on it. I do love the removable faceplate.

DJ, Thank you! Yeah it's amazing how a little paint jazzes things up. Grime and wear is definitely on the agenda. The time diminished so quickly that I didn't have time before comicon.

I will be offering multi-part casts of this helmet soon. Please contact me if interested!

POSING AT COMICON WITH A ZOMBIE NINJA (godson). The plasma rife and helmet look decent together!

Totally missed your recent progress, that turned out amazing. From a distance it looks perfect, close-up the trade offs you had to make due to time are visible, but certainly near the very high quality bar for comic conventions. Maybe a candidate for next Halloween costume context, especially if you finish the suit?

See pirate... I respect your observations. I know exactly the flaws you talk about.. As well as the details I would have liked to do but ran out of time on. The symmetry isn't perfect... Damnit I need to realign my 3d printer so I can get back to generating CAD-based components!

Some people say only I see the flaws... But the real pros who demand perfection see them too... And those are the people I want to impress!

I decided for future projects I'm estimating the schedule of deliverables by multiplying the time I think it will take by 4 and up-converting the units (days to weeks, weeks to months, and months to years). :)
