Fallout 3 T-45d power armor (Foam WIP)

Hello, I'm slowly starting to get into building this suit, and had a small problem when choosing good foam density and thickness values. Can you recommend something for this build?

You need to reproduce a huge power armor not like if it was in leather ....so you need it a bit thick...but not too much so it is still flexible.

like Shoguno said basically!
I personally used 10mm sksprops HD Foam for probably 96% of this build

Hi, another question, I taped together the cutouts from the PDF files for the short shoulder, and the part that is made with the cutouts from the 2nd page (attached photo) seems not to attach to anything on the shoulder.
I have tried to find the place for this part by numbers and by comparing your build of the short shoulders and nothing seems to work.
Is it a leftover from the long version or a piece that is in a weird spot?

I believe I added a false back or extended it and on the internal piece of the chest piece shoulder I put velcro on it. Then I put velcro on the inside of the pauldron piece if that makes sense

So something along the lines of this (red outline)?
PS. Now that I think about it, it makes sense why it is there, the sides of the vertical pieces would be so visible
