Factory Entertainment MIB 2 Neuralyzer

Doesn't mean I don't want to replicate it. If you look closely, the original props have a green, plastic lens.

Well, the best advise i can give you is to use a blue plastic filter to slide behind the lens.. get it off an old pair of red and blue 3d glasses.

Buy that frosting spray paint from the hardware store and mist the filter so you cannot see behind it. it will give you the look you're after without compromising your prop.

while you're at it, change the date window as well. the screen used one had a cream colored date window with black numbers. that and the lens are the only two differences there are between FE and screen used.

I just took a piece of green gel and slid it in there. You can still tell that the actual lens is white but at least the glow is aqua and the flash is green.

I guess I am the only one who likes this detail!

The sensitivity of the release was very light t first but now is a little tricky to set off (has to reset just right).

LoL - don't know about the Instagram thing. Was just trying to be helpful and pulled a bunch of pics together quickly!

Well I dont have an interest in making it green.. However I do have an interest in making the lens look red like the MIB1 neuralyzer.. So i too would like to see pics of what you did and how it turned out. thumbsup And also if anyone has ideas how to make this red without inhibiting the light TOO much...

For a red lens, get a red thin plastic school folder and cut the plastic accordingly. The school folders plastic can be found in a deep enough color red but so thin that you get a good light effect.

I'll post a photo of what I did later today.

I am thinking of going a step further. Ideally I would remove the lens, make a mold of it and cast it in clear, tinted resin.

Well I got mine delivered today! #27 It's amazingly beautiful! My only real complaint is the popup mechanism is wayyy too sensitive like mentioned before.. It keeps popping up by itself anytime a finger just brushes past it.. or anything else lightly brushes against it for that matter. It's really annoying because you can't even drop it into your pocket or pull it out with it popping open inside. Is the problem on the majority of them? Fix for this?

The sounds are really nice but they arent all that loud and the flash isn't all that bright as I had expected they would be. Maybe it'll improve with a better battery.

Thanks Tripoli and Benhs for the tips.. I found a very thin and translucent piece of plastic around the house.. I placed it inside and it did look red on the inside... However it failed because as soon it turns on the blue light just takes over and it looks completely blue without a sign of red. And in turn the flash is dimmed a bit.. So i just opted to take it back out.

Id be very interested to see how it turns out for you Benhs.. casting a new lens might be a great idea.. Cant wait to see how it turns out. What would be really great would be if i could swap out that blue bulb for a red one... That would be great :thumbsup I just love the look of the mib1 neuralyzer the best.

Pics!

No, this one is supposed to have a green lens with a blue led. This is from Men in Black 2. Men in Black 1 has the red light.

Very nice pics though. Lucky on the low edition number! Mine is 205.

I recommend that any time you open it, you hold the clip down the whole time. Or else you'll get a big scrape down the side where it makes contact with the body. Same goes for closing it.

I know, im just saying I want to make it look like the red one from MIB1. It's my favorite.

I did get lucky with that :thumbsup And thanks for the tip.

Well, the top cap and bottom caps would have to change to be MiB 1. Plus, I hear that FE is planning an MiB 1 version. I cannot wait to see them do that.

Well guy's,

Got the neuro today and it's a lemon. the sound doesn't work. tried buying a new batt and it still doesn't work.. also, one of the numbers on the date indicator is scratched.. the "95"

From the little i got to hold and look at it, it seems very nice indeed aside from these problems.

I left FE a message and told them the problem i'm having.. i hope they issue me a new unit when I return this one and not try to repair it.. god knows what kinds of scuffs it would get when they repair it. I would baisically get back a used neuro.. Hope they issue me a fresh one free of flaws..

spent alot of money on this and i'm really upset about it.. I know these things happen.. i just hope they take care of me. Hope it doesn't take a long time to get a replacement.. such a tease to get it and then have to send it back. :(

had it less than a couple hours and its now back in the box.. I will send it back out Monday once I hear from them or call them.

thank you so much for that quick reply.
Talk to you on Monday.:thumbsup

Received mine today # 46 out of 1500. Beautiful. I seem to be having a problem with the sensitivity of the spring mechanism. I dont believe the clip is catching the side hole fully because it will release at the slightest pressure. Anyone else having this issue, and what can be done to resolve this. Possibly an adjustment???
Thanks
Paul
