So finally time for another modification. I put birdshead grips on my Webly Mark VI Airsoft to get a close(r) enough Version of the WG used in LC and CS. I traced the grips on the the frame, cut off the excess material and filled the gaps with a metal paste used for repairwork on cars. Still a bit filling and sanding to do but presentable.

Quite some time ago I made the Leap of Faith Painting by transfering a printout with waterslide decalfoil on a piece of wood and sealing it after with clear varnish. But I was never truly happy with it nor the wooden back. So I finally modified it.

I painted on top of the foil serveral layers of oilcolors until everything was overpainted. After it was fully dried up I hit it with airbrush (white akrylic color).

The wooden back is now one stained piece, edges sanded and aged with a chisel and a screwdriver. The glow is goldleaf and golden edding.

Thank you Pascal Yes the back looks much better and natural now. And the painting itself looks more alive as well (Even though it doesn‘t really in the movie ) and I really like it like this on the wall. I‘m not fully done yet, but for now I‘m happy.

That texturing is just marvellous, wish I had a piece with this much depth in my collection.

I did not find time to improve my Leap of Faith Painting yet .
It needs to get cut a little on each side of the wooden panel and I need to repaint it.
When I tried to use a waterslide decal foil, I wasn't successful with it. I used a normal print on standard paper and glued it to the wood.
I could seal it with different clear coats, so it looks nice now. Around the grail I used gold leaf to make it more authentic.

I hope I can find time to make the changes soon

So I was finally able to close this project for me. It was quite a journey starting with a stamp filed out of aluminum which was inverted. (2.1) Then I printing one which actually worked quite well but broke easily and finally ordering one from china I was able to make the Rucksacklabel I'm satisfied with (5.1).

I press the stamp on wet leather with a vice. Then mask off the letters with a template and plasticine, paint and seal it. I tried painting it and then overpaint the letters with white color which I find was a too extreme contrast (4.3).

I've two genuine German WW2 army rucksacks (5.2). One with a natural gray label because the straps are grey and the bag is a darker green. The second one has a painted army green label as the straps are green and the bag has a lighter green color. (5.3)

You are welcome. I replaced the white LED with a blinking red one. It is pretty easy with this lights. So it actually behaves like in the movie.

You mean the balloon light uses a regular 3 volts LED?

Yes, exactly. And the ones I used you can replace the led without soldering. But even if it's not that hard to do.

As my last Ravenwood diary was printed this one is handwritten and drawn with ink and again handbound. Distressing with fuller's earth and leather dressing.

I made a little Satchel for a friends daughter and mine (6) from an old military bag. (16x15x4cm_W/H/D)
The one for my daughter ist double the thickness as she needs to carry a lot of stuff apparently.
