Hi, I've been looking for a good replica of the Leap of Faith painting for a while, and I only saw two fairly well-made versions on Etsy for €180. Neither were available from Magnoli or Peter, which were very good versions.
I wanted to try making it myself, looking at archive photos and photos from the film. I wanted to try using a new material for me, polyurethane, so I bought two spray cans to fill the Grail Tablet.
Materials: cardboard box measuring 42 x 32 cm, polyurethane spray can, white glue, acrylic paints, printer.
I really had a great time, and I think I achieved a result close to wood. I wanted to simulate old wood, and the bubbles in the polyurethane gave it an old, worm-eaten look. I present my work, which could be an older version than the Last Crusade, but closer to 1969, hanging in Indy's house.
I hope you like it. Best regards.
