Fabs homemade Indiana Jones Props

Here is the rescue ring from the Coronado. The ship that belonged to Panamahat and sank in LC. I got me an old ring repainted it and put the letters on with printed stencils.

Some time ago I made a small version of the window of the library in Venice out of Plexiglas. And later a slightly larger version in A4. But it always looked naked in the showcase. A friend has now given me the inspiration to upgrade it. I cut a frame out of foam boards and painted it in several passes with acrylic paints. The stonestructure is pushed in with alufoil and I put a white piece of paper behind it to better see the colors.

So this is the Grafikos wax encasement made of wax. I made a form with woodplanks and hotglue on a glasplate to have a smooth surface and melted an old cross as the old stuff has a very similar color and bees wax. After cooling down I carved in the symbols and put on a layer of burnt umber with the airbrush and fullers earth for the dust and black hairspray.

Hell yeah! Now we're talking. Looks awesome!

Am I wrong or is it missing a whole extra line of text? Lol. Im not sure what pictures I've seen are the real one, and which are made. But I'm thinking there's a row missing.

It's been a while. :) But next up is the Mola Ram helmet. Printed parts in Resin and Pla covered in automotive filler and then sanded down to give it a rough appearance. And some nice weight. The hair ist from a wig. Painted with spraypaint, acrylics, oilcolors and black hair spray. Finished with some fullers earth.

It is finally finally (kind of) finished. Here it is the Antikythera. The files are from Golden Armor and a friend printed the body in resin for me because it was just too big for my printer. But the file is one piece and so I had to saw it in two pieces and add parts from the freely available dial from Printables.
I also installed real gear from an old clock that I still had lying around.
The compass rose is cast with gold-colored resin.
I haven't really weathered the dial as I didn't have the heart yet. But I'm sure soon. Still to do is filling the thing with PU foam and add magnets. (And a few modifications here and there. o_O)

Oh it is so pretty! Well done.

I printed the two versions of the Atlantean Medallion in resin, painted them with spray paint and acrylics and framed them. LEDs can make the resin filled eyes glow and I painted and aged the frame to give it a metalish look.
