Fabric for Captain America costume S.T.R.I.C.K version, help

Hello everyone, how are you? I'm here asking for some help. I want to make the Captain America suit from the second movie, the Strike version. I know the fabric used in the film was some kind of screen-printed fabric, right? However, I'm looking for some fabrics—since I know there’s more than one type—that I can use to make this suit.

Here in Brazil, where I live, I don’t have many options available. I was thinking about using twill or denim, but I’m not sure if they would look good, or at least close to the original. I also noticed that in some parts of the abdomen, where the blue is a bit darker, the fabric seems to be some kind of stretch material, just like on the collar of the vest.

Generally, Captain America suits are divided into three parts: pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a vest. At least, that’s what I usually see. I don’t know if this applies to this version of the suit.

I’d really appreciate your help if you could suggest more fabric options that I might be able to find in my co
untry.

I took a quick look and it seems like you're right on most of details. Definitely a top and pants only situation, definitely added spandex to key areas for stretch in action and fights (prolly because the other fabric they used isn't stretchy but they couldn't add more room in the suit without it looking a bit silly so the next option was to add spandex to key areas where it would pull), and it's definitely a heavy weight canvas like material.

I think canvas or twill would be good for the main fabric. Or you could try a khaki material as well which is a heavier cotton fabric. Duck canvas also has really nice texture like the images I pulled up of this suit. Not sure if that's an option for you.

I tried to search for this khaki fabric on the internet, but I didn't find anything, maybe the name is different here in Brazil, I'm thinking about buying Nylon 1680, a fabric used for backpacks, I'm worried that I won't be able to shape or fit the pieces, but the texture is very similar to the one used in the film.

nylon would work great too. It is a complicated pattern especially with the spandex and those other raised sections, but you can do it by just making a few mock ups. Mock ups are absolutely necessary with a pattern like this.

Most people that do these suits use thin foam between the lining and fashion fabric to create the raised bits. A good video to watch for making a superhero suit is a Jedimanda making Captain Marvel. She explains how she added the foam to create the raised parts of the costume. I copied the video link below.

Hope this all helps! You've got this!!!
