EVA foam ... foamies?

I see a lot of people on here saying they're making weapons and armor out of EVA foam. Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't that the children's foam pieces that come in little shapes? (I think I saw thin sheets of it at Michael's too)... Is there a site where I can find different thicknesses or are people just gluing sheets together and somehow working with that? I've been using floral foam and I'm dying to find something that won't pretty much destroy my workspace with green dust.

I haven't gotten around to experimenting with it yet, but I believe in most cases people are referring to foam flooring mats that you can find in the automotive section of some hardware stores ( I believe that is the right section anyway). This tutorial had some rather good information on the different kinds.

Foamies ussually used to do details but to build you need at least 5mm eva foam or close cell foam usually floor matts for mecanic garages, children schools and many more uses you can find the in rolls or square packed in 4pcs or 8pcs
