Ev-9d9 Droid Head Completed

"AHH, NEW AQUISITIONS" well one really. finished this up a few weeks ago.

mainly constructed from plasticard with a generous helping of car body filler . pretty happy with it. what do u think?

I think she might look better with a neck. The head and jaw sculpt are excellent.
Looking at the pic on starwars.com - Does she have an antenna sticking out of the top recess?

yes you are correct, i just havnt put it on (forgot), its just the base of the antenna you can see in the hole at the top. it will be a seperate part so is not attached to the main master head

i used a dremel with a diamond dental burr into the car filler, it took f-ing ages:cry

I have always loved that droid. Especialy the voice. Growing up I was allways mad becase the scenes with the torchore droid in ROTJ were always cut to fit the movie on TV.

Never really look at Ev's head that much, but as I look at your the top of the head reminds me of the underside of a mixing maching.

Not this one, but maybe something like it.

bluewolf- funny u should say that as someone else (another forum) also brought up the subject of it being based on a blender type machine, however im sorry to tell u its a clay sculpt.

a pic of which can be found (and the body) in mid sculpt in a book i have at home. i cant post the pic as im in hospital right now.

the book is the star wars figure encyclopedia if anyone wants 2 see it...


i would also like to add i have modified the top anenna area, i found some ref that shows its not a recess as i have it but its flat. it has been changed now :redface
