I'm certainly no MF expert when it comes down to the little details, but I am continually amazed at what a good job they did recreating that interior. While it's so fun to see it again it's so sad we won't see Han in it any more though...

I am wondering for the stand alone Solo movie will they change to interior of the Falcon to look more like the ANH version for continuity they will have to make the floor panels like ANH which are said hard to find. Which omits the 2 maintenance pits.

The grating throws me off, but I don't think the original decking is still in production and 99.999% of people wouldn't notice.

The comparison pictures are great. The set is fantastic, but you can't beat the originals.

I don't mind the new grating for the EP7 (it has been 30 years and it could have been changed for whatever reasons in-universe) or after version of the Falcon, but if they go back and try and use it for the Solo movie that is set about 10 years before ANH it will be odd.

I don't quite get why they couldn't make replica grates. Of all the things to recreate, that seems like a simpler task, and it's one of the more obvious differences. Seems like it was a choice and not a necessity.

My thoughts exactly, given the amount of effort that must have gone into recreating all the other minutiae it seems odd that they wouldn't replicate the original grating.
