EFX PCR boba helmet

So are the seams the only thing keeping these from being 501st approved? I would think that Because they are molded from the actual helmet that they should be considered for approval. The paint looks great from what I’ve seen. What am I missing?

Just curious why folks are looking to fiberglass these? Are the helmets wobbly?

rangefinder is debatable from what I’ve heard, the earcap has a slit in it for some reason and the dome seam is pretty important.

The seam lines, while not great, at least aren't as bad as their Stormtrooper helmet.

These will not be approvable helmets for 501st.

the gap between the uppershell would need to be filled in and then repainted.

I didn't get the email with tracking but I did get the UPS shipping notification for Saturday delivery.

I had to google the address where it was coming from and it was from Bait.

Checked the bait website and it shows my order as shipped. Confirmed it with the UPS tracking number.

very cool, glad helmet is now shipping
And helmet looks great in the final pics
but inside helmet looks Rubies cheap with thin pieces of foam or thin padding material. Seems like the inside might had been last minitue and rushed to have no more delays.
wish inside helmet had inside padding like MasterReplicas, but one can add their own
just glad its getting shipped and looks great

please post pics guys

if you're planning to troop with it for 501st...a plastic helmet beats out a fiberglass helmet in terms of durability. My ABS Snowtrooper helmet(s) have dropped and simply bounced...

I've read several of these related threads though I'm an outsider to Star Wars collecting and trooping, and reading between the lines there appear to be three different attitudes about helmets, so that no helmet will satisfy everybody:

1) the collectors who want a helmet exactly like the original prop, often thin/cheap plastic, often crudely made and painted, etc.

2) the collectors who want a helmet that looks like an original prop when displayed but has a weight and solidity and heft when handled, suggesting to them higher quality.

3) the people who will be wearing the helmets as costume pieces, who have practical considerations such as weight, comfort, durability, ease of repair etc.

Seems to me there can be quite a gulf between #1 and #3: on the set there are people standing around between takes to adjust the costumes, and the costume only has to stay in place for a few seconds, the duration of an individual shot.

When the Stormtroopers marched in the Rose Parade their costumes had to stay in place for a 5.5 mile march.

Great to hear that you guys in the US will have your helmet in a few days.I must still wait some months before I get mine here in europe. :(
