Yes. The guy not only has criminal tendencies but a giant ego to boot. Can't resist defending his "good name". (Good name! Hahahahahahahahaha!)

God knows why. He's firmly established as a crook now, why doesn't he just stop bothering and get on with being a crook? And - Mods, I think we can say that safely now without any need to delete threads or pander to his meaningless legal threats, right? There's surely more than enough evidence here and elsewhere now...

First he says he's new, just getting into making kits, bla, bla..and here is my new web site and message board. He can't be very smart, since he did this about 6 or 7 times. For some reason he brought back a site that everybody knew was his, and it sold re-cast items. The sad part about it, there is always somebody willing to buy his stuff.

I hope Echoleader chimes in, he has the fooker's rap sheet. It's something to see, this crook has been ripping people off for years. I'm surprised nobody has nailed him in all of the time he has been a blight on the sci-fi hobby(I mean arrested and thrown in jail).

I would ask the question, why would he need any help?

It sounds simple, but it isn't. Each computer has it's own IP address(and you can change your IP), if you log in from a different computer it has it's own address. It can change if you log on to another network. On top of all of this you can mask your IP, so it's next to impossible to track individuals. So there is no way for the administrators of a board to police these individuals before they post. Then only if they identify themselves, such as the Taint/fooker.

Keeping track of all of your online identities can be a chore. There was a character around the model world, who would create sock-puppets to make himself look better(they would praise his work). The only problem, he couldn't keep track of them. It was funny at first, but it was clear the guy had real problems. Not unlike the fooker, but I have little sympathy for his criminal behavior. I feel the most sorry for his family and what he must put them through.

Why not just ban everybody with an IP adress within a 50 mile radius of Katy, Texas? At least make him drive an hour to rip people off...

Why not just ban everybody with an IP adress within a 50 mile radius of Katy, Texas? At least make him drive an hour to rip people off...

The only problem with that, is an IP address can be faked. I have a friend that asked for a new IP from his service provider. He looked it up, and it was on the other side of the country from him.

So what I'm saying is it makes little difference. He can still get on an rant away about how he is out of the hobby, his health is poor, it's gets tiring filling nine pressure pots with re-cast x-wing parts, look what re-cast item I have for sale on E-bay today, and this will be my last post on here, bla, bla, bla.

For those who weren't unfortunate enough to read his last rant before it was deleted , just go back to his first post and add a few more expletives.

Its quite amusing to watch him get more and more wound up with each response posted. i honestly think he believes his own crap.

I have always advocated for the RPF to be private or secure in some way. Even people charged 5.00 to join and then giving their addresses, ebay account info etc. to the site owners. The only people that wouldn't like it are those who have something to hide really. If people where serious about stopping people like him , they would take true steps instead of talking about it in endless threads.
It's all really just preaching to the choir because everything here and other threads are public anyway. they seem to just be registering to get a few good licks in before they get banned. non-members can see a majority of the threads , images and info. they really wouldn't need the OT and JY because they would be selling on ebay anyway...
as far a IP addresses , you can use Proxy servers and many means to mask or hide your identity . There's more than a few websites that use the same principles as protecting your stuff on line that can teach anyone all the info needed.

Oh it's easy.. I just check out the ip associated with an account.. registered or last used and do an IP look up. If it comes from his location, it's automatically banned. However, comcast has thousands of IP addresses, and just because it's from his area, doesn't mean it is him.. But, odds are, it is him.. It might be awhile to get a new IP and he'll try it again.. so, you ban that one ..and so on. It's also tedious.. which is why I wrote a program that pulls the users and ip's out of the database and does a lookup for me and reports email addresses, ip addresses, and ip address locations.

good idea..or even narrow the registration to a couple of weeks only a year and then have intensive moderation during that time during registration.

Well, contrary to other websites, that banning rule would include me, as I've been here a little while, but I usually just read (lurk) and marvel at all the cool SS stuff I don't see anywhere else, and to keep tabs to see if anyone has one of my kits that has a question (or is actually building it! lol) So I would have to vote "no" on the mass bannings, just to weed out one or two "taints" of the hobby.
