Hello RPF'ers......or something,
Yes the title is correct, over the next five(ish) months i'll be busy constructing an Enforcement Droid: series 209 in full scale 1:1. This will function as both a costume and a statue, as the pieces required to make it a costume can be removed/replaced, making it serve both purposes. Now while I can't guarantee it will be an exact filmable replica, I can guarantee up to 95% accuracy based on the hundreds of reference pictures I have collected. Now this represents two years of study and planning, so this isn't something I am just jumping into on a whim, it will represent a significant increase in my scratch building abilities, over my previous constructs. While I do appreciate helpful tips/advice, please understand this is my own process and other than detail painting, it will be made on my terms, with my own experience. I will however try to answer any questions or comments you may leave. The reason I am making this, is I am going to the SDCC next year and I am hoping to participate in the Costume Masquerade with my sister and a friend. Hopefully we can get a spot on the list of entries.
I am also posting short videos on the You Tube, regarding this project. Not much more than you see here, but check it out if you like.
