Mine's all done! Beautiful kit Dave, engineered really well, and a dead on match to my real Kobolds, BRAVO!

I love that display!!! 
Finally finished my kit using the VHT wrinkle paint, per a recommendation from TatooineMachine in his own thread. It's amazing how differently the wrinkle paint turns out depending on how you apply it. This was my first attempt, I'm happy enough with it. I still need to find something for the plug receptacles, that side needs something breaking up the glossy black. Bonus Luke cap included.

Brass tubes for the contacts will be included in this run, please note that some original units did not have the brass contacts, so you can choose to install or not.
What size of tubes are they? I LOVE my droid caller from a previous run, but have been thinking about tubes or something for those holes.
I was informed that they are very close to 1/8" ( 0.125 ) diameter, 3mm would be 0.118 diameter but the knob thread is inch so I would say 1/8 is good, even though the thumbscrew that goes through the head insert is M3, we can split hairs but I think it's close enough, the holes in the previous kits that I measured from an original unit are 0.110 diameter ( under 3mm ), very close, so you would just need to drill them with a 1/8 drill and get some 1/8 tube, McMaster-Carr
I try to keep everything as close as possible but sometimes inch and metric overlap, I just use whatever seems the closest to the original.
