DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

While we're on (or were a second ago) the topic of his sunglasses, i'd like to mention that Ryan himself personally uses the Selima Optique brand in a few movies, such as Crazy, Stupid Love. The ones in Crazy, Stupid Love are the Selima Optique "Chad" model and are very similar to the ones in Drive.

I am looking for a pair of replicas to the Chad model because the authentic are sold out on the color and are really expensive. So i posted a thread (my first thread ever, how awesome is that?) about the Chad sunglasses. I deeply appreciate anyone that can help!!

The Levi comes with long, baggy sleeves, but if you wash and dry it the sleeves shrink to exactly the correct length and diameter. Also, the toothpicks are on the way. Probably going to pick up the original gloves as well in English Tan (as they were seen the most in the film).

I'm a 38" chest and I ended up ordering a Medium in the slim fit levi jacket (I went by levi's size chart), do you think it will fit slim or will I have to wash it to shrink it a little?
 
Hmmm, I have the same chest measurements as you. I don't know about your arms, but the medium was too loose on me. The jacket doesn't shrink that much. It just shrank where it needed to.

And you really don't want the denim jacket to be loose, because then the scorpion jacket has to be REALLY loose.
 
Another week went by and still waiting for shipping info. I'm so fu***ed up about this sh**ty Steady Clothing service. Never order anything there again
 
Cathy over at go go retro has been fantastic. Luckily someone returned an XL for a 2x, so she is switching it with my large. It took less than 24 hrs for the new size to be shipped to out.

Yep. But since I originally paid less than ordering from steady, its like I'm just paying full price. Plus from what I've been seeing, steady doesn't seen to have very good customer service. :/

I went to a Levi's store in Frankfurt couple of days ago and tried on the trucker jacket. Turns out I had to wear size L. ( In every other jackets I have M) So I dont think the jacket will even fit... I'm 5'11" ...
 
Just knocked up part of my own alternative version. I'll be printing this or one my friend designs and BURNING the official one.
 
I think I'd go for something a little more out there:
