There is something wrong with their chart. I don't believe size S will fit someone who is
6 or even 5'11. And if size S is for someone who's 6 feet tall, why they would make XL?
I think Ryan wears M in the movie but as I already said he's a very small guy.
Today I went to a mall and I was trying different jackets, non of them in size S fit me,
I even wast able to put them on. I believe what Eric said on the phone,
I'll be getting L, I'm 6'1, around 180lb.
That chart is just messed up!

dude I'm 6 and all my jackets are small. It's possible.

Hey there guys, been following for a while now and finally got around to measuring a jacket of mine. I'm 6'1" and 168 lbs. Tall and thin. I was pretty freaked out after I ordered a medium and saw the size chart. However, after I measured a leather jacket of mine that has a slim fit to it, I was pretty relieved. I don't know if you guys are measuring across the chest of jackets and then doubling that number, bc that's what I did at first and got 21 inches, making it 22 by doubling. However when I actually put the tape around the jacket, I got 44 inches. Just one inch less than the medium is listed as being. It may not seem like a lot of material on the fold when measuring the first way, but it changed my measurement my 2 inches.

I also think that we have to take into account that the shoulder work on this jacket is not ordinary either. With the overlapping folds that make up the brown ring around each arm. That's quite a bit of fabric that would also be found in the same area under the arm as Steady is telling to measure. One inch below the armpit. Hope this helps put some people at ease. I can post a pic of myself in the jacket I measured if there's enough interest.

I looked at my email and I noticed the guy Eric I talked to is actually Pres/CEO of Steady, so i'm pretty sure he wouldnt' steer me the wrong way. So im gonna go buy his word. I hope everyone that has questions will call in a get answers for there questions, but im pretty sure you will get the same info they gave me. Im 6'2, 176 and have never owned a small or xs jacket thats crazy. It would be way too small. If you go with that size thats on you, but before your happy with whatever final decision you make just call in and check with Steady.

Still sticking to my XS order after measuring a couple of my jackets. The only thing that concerns me is the sweep.

I'm not too worried about the sweep. Just looking at the blog post with the two high-res shots of the jacket (Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – The DRIVE Jacket! «), it seems to me that the sweep is meant to be small, and likely very stretchy. All the other measurements for the XS are perfect for me, if not still slightly too big, so I wouldn't think the sweep would be an issue.

if this is true, then all the photos steady has shown us are of the actual jacket from the movie. I really hope this is not the case.

If anyone's interested in buying an XS, Steady Clothing seems to be sold out on both runs. Get Go Retro still has some available for the second run. I ordered an XS over there.

I'm pretty sure they have been of the screen used jacket the whole time. The pics always made it look a little too worn around the cuffs and collar. The stitching like he said above does look different too.

Hurm. If that's true then its kind of poor practice not to acknowledge it some way or another. Even an asterisk with a note that said "Not final product" would have been nice.
