DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

He told me he read some of the forums and he said people should go back and do there measurements of a jacket they wear that fits right, to see how close it is to the chart. You have to be carful about this thought because not every companies clothes fit the same. But he said he's seen people talking about xs and s and told me that, that size will be to small for people who are 6 foot. He said everything is pretty much exactly the same as the jacket ryan gosling wore in the film except, the length of the sleeves. Eric said ryan gosling is a small guy. So if you go with smaller sizes it will be to short especially the sleeves of the jacket. Call in and ask questions, if you dont wanna take my word.

well I compared the sleeves' length of the xsmall to a small jacket I own and the xsmall sleeves were longer. Go figure...

I'm a small guy too. I did change my order to a S from an XS though as I was worried about it being too tight based on the sweep.

Though one thing to keep in mind is that "tight" has a different meaning to different people. Some people wear baggier clothes and feel odd in fitted clothes.

From the shoulder seam.

BTW: Steady added a measuring diagram to the size chart. So go check it out if you're not sure.

In this sense I mean tight in an uncomfortable way. If you want the jacket to be form fitting, like in the movie. Then you should go with what im saying. I get the feeling people aren't believing me. Eric one of the people working on the jacket, and a person who has actually tried one of these jackets on told me this. He wears a large and it fits perfect. I think he would know. So I will go with his word. I just wanna help everyone out, dont want anyone to get screwed over when you get the jacket in the mail. He said if you order a xs or s its not the right sz for someone who is 6ft.

They put a new size chart up explaining how to measure everything compared to the jacket, due to the confusion. But im not sure how much it will help because its still a little confusing when looking at it. Thats why I called in and got the advice from someone who has actually tried the jacket on.

what I don't get is that I'm 6 feet and all of my jackets fit perfectly and are small. I compared their measurement to mine and xsmall seem like the perfect choice. I don't have broad shoulders(36/38)

It's not that we don't believe you or what the guy said. It's hard to wrap around their weird size chart. They keep saying to measure a jacket you like the fit of and go off that. I did that and every Small jacket I own has a chest of 40" not 45" like the Steady size chart.

That's the disconnect. I think people are worried, based on the huge chest sizes, that they're gonna end up looking like they're wearing a garbage bag.

I did, however listen to you and them, and change my order to a Small. Which is what I wear normally. I figure you can always take a jacket in.

I'm 5'10" and like 170 lbs BTW. For comparison.

Not sure what to say, im just going by what he said.

Getting the wrong size is not something I want to deal with. So just call in and talk to them if you have questions.

I think we should remember that not all clothes always fit the same, when it comes to companies and how they go about making there clothes.

just go with your measurements of your personal jackets. madmandee said he spoke to eric who tried on the jacket. well do you know what eric's defnition of tight is? and him saying that a XS or S would be too small for someone who is 6 ft is not entirely accurate either. He's basing that off the length of the jacket and length of sleeves. I personally like my jackets short and my sleeves short so the sleeves dont bunch up around the wrist. And everyone keeps saying the jacket fit really tight on Ryan Gosling in the movie, no it did not he wore it pretty loose. How else would he be able to fit a denim jacket underneath it. wearing a jacket tight would mean that he would only be able to wear a t-shirt underneath.

Until this guy posts a picture of himself wearing the jacket listing the size he is wearing, his height and weight, I would not go just based off his word. I would just measure jackets you have at home and get the size with the most similar measurements.

Yeah this was my exact reasoning when I abandoned the XS. His jacket is actually kid of loose.

Mentalplane I think you should call in, dont want you to get a really small jacket and then you regret your purchase even though you could exchange it. Just trying to take out some of those annoying steps if that were to happen.

A XS AND SMALL will not fit in a comfortable way. It will be the wrong size for someone of your size.

the XS has the same measurements of a leather jacket that I currently wear. I dont know where you come from in saying that it wont fit.
