DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

it doesn't mean anything you're thinking way too deep into it. the measurements listed are the measurements of the jacket. She is telling you not to think the measurements listed should be the actual body measurement of the person. essentially she is saying that you want the chest area to be a bit roomy hence the reason for the large chest sizing. but that is a matter of personal preference. I would personally like my jacket to be a bit snug around the chest.

I have around a 38''-39'' chest, would the XS still be fine?

If we were making you a jacket and you had a 39" chest, I would recommend 40" for a slim fit or up to 42" for a loose fit. Anything bigger than that I would call baggy.

I ordered it through get go retro seeing as it is overall cheaper

Is the version on the get go retro the exact same one being sold by rock steady? If so it's like $20 cheaper no?

Can anyone confirm? If rock steady's is of a higher quality I'd get it for there but 20 bucks is 20 bucks.

It is the same jacket and Cathy is a delight to deal with.

Oh man, I ordered it in a large (I normally wear XL or L tshirts and large jackets) but I may have to size down. Is that what you guys recommend with the size chart given to us?

I have NO clue about my own measurements, haha. All I know is that I'm a pretty skinny individual... 6'2 at 160 lbs (soaking wet) I do however have freakishly long arms, and quite a long torso. Any suggestions?

small? You should measure one of the jacket that you own and compare it.

I was planning to get a small but I'm 5'3 and 120lbs (skinny fellow). Seeing these tall guys getting Extra Smalls is making me worried. Should I get an XS as well?

I'm starting to rethink this all. Like don't get me wrong! I think the jacket is awesome! but its a movie!...Which I LOVED! but notheless... in 4 months once spring hits again...who the hell will care about this movie anymore? people will already be moved on to the new thing.

I'm not dissing the concept..Though I feel the concept has gotten us more than, .."Just a halloween costume" think about it folks...thats all I ask.

"When you're ordering the "Drive" jacket, keep in mind that the measurements are of the jacket, not the person wearing it. Our best advice is to find a garment in your closet that fits you perfect (or how you would want the jacket to fit) and measure THAT item and compare it to the jacket. Don't buy the size that matches your body measurements, or it's going to fit you skin tight :)"

Why are you even on the RPF then? This whole place is about replicating things from movies we love. Regardless of who else cares.

I did this and the XS matched the Small sized jacket I measured. Sleeve and overall length was about the same. The chest was 3" smaller. The only thing that worries me about the XS is the 34" sweep. Because my hips are like 36" around. We'll see I guess.

I don't think that too many people in a certain area will know what the jacket is. But I bet they notice it and ask what it's from. Drive didn't do too well with mainstream audiences and with only 1,000 of these being sold I don't know if the chances of you running into someone (outside of L.A.) wearing the jacket at the same time is are very great.

I'm not planning on wearing it to have some people call out "I'm likin' that Drive jacket, homie!"

It's a pretty (read: REALLY) badass jacket on its own. Whether people notice it or not is of no concern to me personally, but I think there's a good chance that a few passersby will wonder about it.
