Well, I have taken the best of Matsucorp and Spatcave. I am building a hybrid M41a. Spat solid shroud, trigger group and Mag well. Matt's metal stock, vent and barrel. Also a matt working GL.
Unbelievable quality from both. Yes, I will need a bolt of lightning to make them all play nice, but they are beautiful in their own right.
If only I had skills...

Hmmm, the 1st post got the "cricket" sound, so I am not sure how much interest there is in this. So I will be brief; I had a specific goal for a PR, I wanted a solid resin body with all metal parts. I could not be happier with the result. At some point, the intention was to install a high power green laser with enough power to cut electrical tape and pop balloons.
This project was like the old Johnie Cash song about the Cadillac; "One piece at a time". I also had the extra issue, of wanting to be able to take it apart.
So I built one half and screwed the other half pieces on.
Toughest issue was dremmeling out the mag well to fit the Spas cage.

I can post some other pictures if anyone is interested. This is the crowning jewel of my collection.

Hi, a quick question. Humbrol don't seem to sell the 170 matt any more, would anyone have a suggestion of a paint I can use to get that brown look to the finish?
