Doctor Who

It's possible it could be black, I was originally going to do it black, but I remember seeing some old business cards and some of them were dark blue so I went with the blue, it could be either, I'll do another drop shadow version with black ink.

Peter

PS The yellow in the first Drop Shadow version was a mistake, I have corrected it.

Just wanted to thank Organic Mechanic for the claim ticket, Angelus Lupus for the library card and DD28 for the Great Intelligence card! Great work guys!

I also wanted to show this piece I finished not long ago. This is my first printing. I may do another once I finsich cleanign up the Doctor and the text. The text is a bit trickier right now though. Still working on it so we'll see.

I printed it on textured and aged looking paper and then frayed the edges with a razor blade.

I got the file from the BBC site when Series One aired, but but I upped the res in Photoshop to get a better print from it. Seemed to help a bit. Still, looks very nice printed.

After coming across a thread in the Replica Movie Props forum, about the "Rings of Akhaten", and seeing some of the images posted about the envelope that the Doctor is holding, I decided to expand on the work done there, and include a design and layout inspired by an image that Howlrunner found in the Doctor Who Adventures magazine.

I have to thank Gibbtall for the main symbol.

To get the envelope the correct (or close to correct) size when folded it needs to be printed on A3

There is a folding guide on page 2, not too complicated, but it did take me a little while to figure out how it worked.

This isn't exactly the same as the photo shown in the magazine, but it is "inspired" by it.

I know, the glyphs reminded me of something, but I couldn't find anything that looked right, also the floorplan that is on the image in the magazine looks like a real building, I wonder if anyone could identify it.

Peter

If you look at the BBC website in the galleries you can see quite a lot of the set design floorplans for different buildings that they created for different episodes. Unfortunately they didn't post the plans for the temple set from this episode, because I bet you anything that that's what they used when creating this prop.

What about this one from Crimson Horror? I think it's probably about A3 width.

Ok I'll bite...here you go.

Found myself with some free time and decided it was time to finally get around to printing this one. I did take new screen caps of the poster to redo the pic of Rose though as I wanted to see if I could clean it up a bit more and I'm pretty happy with the result.

EDIT: Updated Pic

I updated the picture above because I made a couple more changes. First I pixelated the right side of the Rose pic to try to get that back to how it looked on screen with the person they pixelated out of the shot. And second I redid the Metropolitan Police Badge to be more accurate to how it appeared on screen. With these two changes I'm much happier with it now. Many thanks to sebmodio for recreating this item. Hope you don't mind my edits.

Here is my version of the above note, it appears in an episode The Deadly Assassin and it is a warning note the Fourth Doctor writes in Gallifrayan script to the High Council.

The note is A5 when printed at 100%

One again, awesome work. Thank you. Now, to be a REAL pain, should there be gold/yellow on there? To my eyes, I can't see any gold/yellow on the screencap at all. But then maybe it's my screen resolution and lack of great image software. And should the whole thing be blue? To my eyes it looks like it's just black text/graphics (or at least a VERY dark blue) on a white background with a very light grey drop shadow.

I'll try taking better screencaps from the DVD to see if it shows colours better (just found the above image online)....

EDIT: Here's two screencaps I just took. Shows detail/colour a bit better. I think it's just the lighting filter that makes it look bluish - I believe that it probably is just black on white, with grey shadow.
