Doctor Who: Journey to the Center of the TARDIS bottle SPOILERS!

That looks great!
A few quick things I noticed. The gallifreyan covers the entire label. If you're going to use that graphic, try flipping it and repeating it to cover the whole thing. I see symbols over the EN, LOP, ED, GA, LIFR, and .X in the image I posted. (there may be more that I've covered inadvertently)
Also the Seal of Rassilon is positioned in the center like I pointed out.
There's a period after "VOL" and the 2 lines above and below "VOL" are just a little longer than the word "Gallifreya." Maybe a space or two on each side.

Good eye! I wish there was a way to find out exactly the symbols used or a clearer screen cap so that I can redraw it in vector. I noticed the lines above and below the "VOL" lines up with the length of "ENCYCLOPEDIA".

Great work on the label! I wonder if the BBC managed to find a source for just the clear(ish) bottles? If not then they've got quite a few green ones lying around that might make an appearance later.

This looks BRILLIANT! It's really hard to make out the exact symbols used in the little screen time you see them but this looks great!

Could I ask a small favor & have you do 1-11 and upload here? Great work!

Hate to sound ignorant but what's a 1-11? If you meant a printable 1:1 file then surething, I was going to wait for my bottle to arrive to get exact measurements of the height and length of the label, but if anyone can provide the numbers I'd be more than happy to post the printable PDF here.

The bottle is 4.5" high from the bottom to the start of the curve at the top, 8 15/16" in circumference.

I think he meant the volume numbers.

Well yes to printable file, but yeah I just meant the volume numbers, like I, II, III, IV, etc..

This new label is stunning. I really think you've nailed it!
The only thing I can see is the color of the Seal of Rassilon is inverted in your picture. Your white parts should be darker, and the darker parts white.
Here's the image again if it helps:

Looks like they may have used a 2"x4" label since the bottle is 6" tall. I have a few 2"x4" labels and held one on the bottle while looking a the reference graphic on screen. IMG_3828.jpegIMG_9707.jpg

BTW the best deal on getting a full set 10-12 volumes of bottles is to buy 4 (3 Bottle sets) and 4 (Bath room sets) which comes to just over $90 before tax and nets 12 clear bottles, 8 green, 4 soap dishes, and 4 drinking glasses.

Does the label wrap the entire bottle? I get the impression it does. Anywho, a couple more tweaks based on feedback…

Love your progress, just took another look at the episode and grabbed this still showing the edge of the label and the diamond pattern enclosing the whole label. vlcsnap-2013-05-06-18h42m04s60.png

been away for a few days, come back and you have solved the label problem, blimey, well done. got my bottles on the way. the 64,000 dollor question, do you want sell me a set of labels lol

I have a feeling if you watched from the US then the TARDIS translated the image as "ENCYCLOPEDIA", maybe if you watch live on BBC the TARDIS translated the image as "ENCYCLOPAEDIA" ??? :p
If Doctor Who is made in Britain, why is it not spelt encyclopaedia on the bottles?

No need to purchase sir, I'll post the final PDF here so anyone who wants a label can print it. I just want to refine it more to where it's really close to accurate as we can get, and also the measurements of the label (if anyone can get me the measurements or send me a bottle :). BTW, right now the label is designed with a slight silver tint, I can make them just b&w if someone wants to print them on a colored or silver-toned label/paper.

Used PS to lighten the screencaps and was able to get better approximation of placement and diameter of the Rassilon seal. Also thickened the line pairs above VOL based on screen cap approximation.…

The bottle is 6" tall 2.75" wide 4.5" from the bottom of the bottle to the start of the curve inward that goes to the neck/opening bottle has a 1.25" OD and about 1" ID opening. Hope this helps. My earlier post holding the bottle with a 2" tall by 4" wide label looked good to me compared to the still from the episode.
