Disgusting Creatures...Show off your Jawa!

I matched the color Dye with the old one and no one can tell the difference untill you see the backside.
Now I have to finish 2 Tusken Gaffi Sticks before I can get back to the Jawas.

But do you see where I put the cement in areas if you look at the picture in the movie where the Jawas are unloading the Droids infront of the Sandcrawer you can see the same color I have that picture on my website.

Good match on the dye. And oh yeah, I definitely see where you added the cement. I'd never have thought of cement but it definitely makes a nice weathering medium. :thumbsup

Looks great to me. the casting was a little rough which shows in the final product, but you did a great job mimicking the wood color and worn steel..
I like the blistered holster too, nice and used. Very nice leather work.

Thats too cool, I never knew they used bolt action Enfields!!! I still wonder what they look like under the robes.

At first I thought this "was" the original thread from years ago ... dug up from the archives with that title! :)

Awesome job on that holster!!!! :)

I started making the blasters here on the rpf 11 years ago ... holy cow has it been that long :wacko

Here is a couple pics from last year's project:

Here is my thread from last year embarking on creating some accurate jawas:

Great stuff Cal, that second photo is just pure awesomeness.

When the original thread was done it helped me finish my Jawa but I had to sell everything I owned a few years back to dig out of a financial hole. So I figured why not start over with a new thread and see what pops up.

Some great stuff so far, and as soon as I can find my dang sewing machine, I'll get back on this project..

Thanks! It helps to have some kids who can get into character ;) This particular little girl has a father who is a photographer and also a member of the 501st. She is not shy when it comes to a camera .... usually anyway :)

Ok I have to show off my new power pack I got from eBay. It is an antique Persian powder flask. It is made of bone and brass. Unbelieveable how cool this looks with the costume.

Many years back I made a few jawas...

I KNOW! :D

Still one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

Here is a video with it featured showing my cheap sound solution.
