I hadn't originally planned to share these but since they are no where near the quality of the originals I don't think the original prop maker would mind these being published. I made these from multiple blu-ray screen grabs of the larger pics in Holly's office. It's the best I can do with the tools I have. I know they are rough but in a frosted wallet photo insert, the lower quality will be less noticeable.

I thought I had seen his DL somewhere else? I can't find it now. These look great. This is an awesome movie. The fake ID would be cool also. And maybe the European Cigarettes?

    Best,

Re: Die Hard - John McClane Wallet Family Pictures

Wikipedia has John McClane's DOB as 23 May 1955, IMDB has it as 11 August 1957. Need to figure a suitable address too. I think the guy who owns the original wallet has a,picture on the site with a partial image of the DL, or maybe not, I too have seen something somewhere!

Very cool of you Fetts. I think your right, with a frosted insert, no one can tell that the picture blurs:thumbsup

Semi-related: Anyone know of any explanations as to why the McClane's son's 'character' is not mentioned in any of the sequels ?

Too many characters would kill the movie. Better to focus on one at a time. Plus it's the whole father daughter dynamic.

His son is referenced in Die Hard believe, his name is John as well.

As long as he's not played by Justin Timberlake (which according to the trivia section for "Live Free or Die Hard", he was in talks to play John Jr.), I can see John McClane dealing with a problem and his son helping.

Yes there is. It's never shown on screen but it is an older NY drivers license.

Brad I'd like details of the wallet too if possible.

Going to make a drivers license or rather add it it to my burgeoning projects list.

I used to have exactly this wallet ten or so years ago. I finally threw it out when the little plastic photos insert cracked off of its support tab. Which I could have just as easily replaced.

    D'oh!

Still trying to find a good example of a drivers license from the period to refine my Walter Kovacs ID and do the John McClane license.

For info guys, The original wallet is brown and is made from genuine eel skin, so it is a shiny material. I have found a wallet which matches the original, but the inside of it is different...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/EEL-Skin-Leather-TRIFOLD-WALLET-NEW-BROWN_W0QQitemZ350324498874

From the outside, this looks identical. But i have been unable to find one with the correct trifold design like the one Brad posted.

So I decided it was time for me to try to contribute something since I've gotten so many cool paper props from y'all. So, I took a stab at McClane's DL today. This is my first real try at something like this. I had to come up with some pattern in the background, as the only samples of real 1980's vintage New York DLs I could find online weren't really clear. I also spent over 1.5 hours trying to match the "New York State" font and finally decided "close enough".

Hey, Simon. Did you find the reference shot of the aspirin from part 3?!?

Time to make the label for my aspirin...

I asked Gus_weber a long time ago, because he said he's got a full set of the die hard Wallet inserts, but still got no respons...

So after all, I stopped searching, asking for that stuff... Last project will be the Die Hard 4 wallet with just the badge and ID, have to get the gun, the Galco Holster is too expensive for me...

But Im happy if anyone can help out with the Baseball game... sources for the graphics, I found already the acurate font for "New York" bus still need the playfield, the other parts I will make myself...

Maybe someone can overwork the Nord de Lignes label and make a clear white backround??!?

Here are the cards I did a few years ago. The blue on the VISA is lighter because it was printing really dark on my printer:

I have a shot of it somewhere, But only from the film. The only original bottle I've ever seen in the marketplace was the one Prop Store sold, and that didn't have the writing on the bottom.

Thanks... Yeah, I have the screenshots, too... From the ship, the telephone cell and from the alternate ending... But it has always a different label, and a different cap. The label looks in one scene yellow, in the other white... Any white or yellow label (aspirin or something) would work for me...

Die Hard $100,000 dollar Bearer Bond

    View attachment Die-Hard--100-000-bond-from-the-Nakatomi-Plaza-vault.jpg

I don't know if this is an exact copy of the bearer bond from the NAKATOMI vault but I've been photoshopping my * off to get it cleaned up.
The size is bigger than A4 but if you don't have a big printer you can photocopy or scale it down to A4 and it will look alright.
