Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

How were EFX helmets made? I had a wedge and it was good and sturdy?

Is it me or does the Denuo Novo visor look weird?

Woody if you can post pics please
Thank you again
I received mine Thursday. Here are a couple of pictures next to an original Anovos Rey helmet. They are identical in shape.

Reminder the RS is reverse-engineered from a TIE Pilot helmet -- same APH-derived clamshells, but trimmed differently and with a different mohawk strip and frontpiece. Hence why it looks so different. The originals were pretty large -- they used a single size of flight helmet and went big enough they didn't have to worry about it not fitting an actor's head. Since Mark is on the smaller side, that's why he looks like such a bobblehead in his. Just as with other Rebel pilots, the bigger one is, the more it will look appropriately-sized. The Rogue One helmets are, in fact, the same size as the originals, more or less.

The visor looks correct on the R.S.. Not so much on the others.
I don't really think any of them match the ANH visors. The RS looks too wide and doesn't have as much of an upward curve towards the sides. The shape on the DN and Anovos doesn't quite look right either.

It might just be the angle, but the photo on the Kylo Ren product page looks like a different helmet to me than what was originally on the page.

I heard that the Anovos/Denuo Novo Helmet is scanned from the Rogue One Helmet which itself was made by Far Away Creations, I noticed that the A/DN Helmet is missing the bump on the front left hand side but the paint detail for it is there but on the FAC Helmet the bump is there, I wonder if they intentionally removed it to make the sides on the Replica more symmetrical?

Anyone get the Rey helmet ? Wondering if there are any major differences with the older Anovos Rey
Thanks in advance

I'm waiting to see some more in hand photos of the X-Wing helmets before pulling the trigger, but it's great that these are actually getting produced.
Yup. And yeah, same here.
Also waiting for RS Props to reopen commissions. I have a few of theirs which I like.
We'll see.

There's also a lot of external uncertainties going on, and my gut is telling me that I should perhaps be wiser about how I spend my money these days.

I was able to obtain a new Denuo Mando helmet at a discount (the one on the left, EFX season one on the right). I have always been curious about how they were.
It no longer has the double visor and the new one is a bluish tint.
Overall I like it better than the EFX which surprised me. I knew the differences between the two. The Denuo just overall looks better and presents as a better product.
The packaging was pretty lackluster. Helmet in a plain Jane box with a little insert showing a pic of the helmet along with the standard info. The carrying bag was a nice touch. But I would rather see a bag similar to the ones my motorcycle helmets come with.
One thing I really like is the mohawk lines aren’t painted like apparently the Anovos ones were. They are still too deep and defined compared to the studio images and the EFX.
The negatives… the right upper ear is slightly crooked. Their website video show the same flaw so it isn’t just my helmet. I noticed their picture though shows it going the opposite direction the video. It feels like there may be screws under the liner holding the ears themselves so maybe it is an assembly issue.
Also mine has a touch of glue on the right side of the visor. Not sure how I can remove that without damaging the visor itself. It isn’t noticeable unless you were looking for flaws as I was.
The visor is simply hot glued in from what I can tell. Much better than the EFX one and it’s many screws which made it hard to fix the crooked mandibles it came with (second hand purchase)
I do really like the Denuo even with its flaws. Now if I would have paid full price I would maybe not have been so happy but whatever.
I recommend it if you do not want to make your own or purchase a fan made one.

I like the tapering of the DM visor alot more.

Well that may be my fault. I had to take the EFX apart to reposition the mandibles.
I had both EFX versions. The visor didn't have an "aggressive" taper which is what I preferred. I might need to snag one of the DN Mando helmets. Especially since they fixed the double visor Anovos had.
