Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

Whatever happened to the Anovos Rey Staff? Will Denuo Novo be releasing it? Has there been any communication around it?

DN told me via email it's supposed to happen 3rd quarter this year, but I haven't heard anything announced. My wife decided she no longer wanted it, so I ended up getting a gift card for the balance and bought the Imperial Royal Guard helmet instead.

Any one order the Jango helmet? Really interested in seeing how the final product turned out.
I would not pay 700 bucks for a Jango Helmet...but got a new pic in the mail..the weathering looks not really good..and whats with the rangefinder..a photoshopmistake?:

Pictures are not their core business . I have to smile every time I see their TFA Stormtrooper Kit pictures and the Troopers are wearing a TLJ helmet :cautious:...

Yes, the helmet is not included in the kit... But if I'm already advertising a TFA kit, then why not use a TFA helmet in the marketing/picture?! Or am I wrong?! The front picture of the 501st Clone Trooper Helmet are also very funny. Photoshop for runaways

In relation to the Kylo costume… what kind of demand is really there for that now? I mean I highly doubt we are going to see a live action Kylo anytime in the near future in any capacity. The movies are done. His arc as a character is more or less over. The kids that are discovering Star Wars now were 1 or even non existent when we were introduced to Kylo.
Well, in deciding whether or not to go for store credit, I was told by DN that they are definitely going to make it. And I asked, “are you sure?” And they said for sure.

Additionally, we were told that these people were going to fulfill all outstanding orders.

I asked them if they were going to postpone it as long as possible so as to drive people into other choices and they said no.

And excitement? No, there is none. But are you telling me there is really ANY real excitement for a Director Krennic outfit?!

I have no problem with Krennic but Kylo is a better costume and a core character.

DN hasnt even mentioned Vader.

Let me guess….already in over their heads too?

Web Design is not their core business either. Check out this description. It has absolutely nothing to do with Sabine's helmet.

What they did is they copyed the middle stripe of the MR 501st helmet blurry on their helmet.I´ve seen that on the first view because I have an MR one.And what they showed later on the the expo has nothing to do with the picture before.

Denuo Novo has used temporary photos for items then replaced them with updated photos later. They did this with the Kylo helmet. They added some additional photos to the 501st Clonetrooper, but strangely did not replace the photo from the front.

I think I like the weathering on the Anovos version of the 501st helmet better. It looks more realistic. It appears to have different levels of scratches and not just a cut out of the missing color in the blue area.

Spot the mistake on this one. They need someone to proofread their emails and product listings.

I just sent an email to Yodasnews a few minutes ago for posting that up since it is referencing a TLJ helmet, but has a picture of the TFA version. I should've known they received it from DN. That's just sad.

UPDATE: I just received a response from Mark at Yodasnews and he's going to contact them to find out how they could screw this up.

I had mentioned in a previous post that I use floor lamps to display helmets. I just thought I would post up that Target has a sale going on with some of the cheaper, very basic lamps. They're currently $10.

I originally ordered 4 of these and then just ordered 4 more that are arriving today.

I removed all the electrical parts and only use one of the four stem pieces to achieve this.

Here's an idea on how they look. I'm considering having some plaques made to make it look really professional.

Plus when you're done you end up with all these extra electrical parts and greeblies for other projects.

That's one of the stupid things of corporatism. When Anovos got the copy and exemplar pictures approved by LFL and Disney, each time they changed the postings or put up new picures they had to run it by both. When I was asking DN customer service about some of the specifics of what they had gotten and what they were making, he said they were going with what LFL sent them -- all assets: 3D files, prototypes, packaging, website listings... Everything that had been Anovos' Star Wars content. Including pics of the First Order Stormtrooper helmet back when the TFA suit and helmet were first announced. The only new asset Anovos had for TLJ was the black-trimmed Executioner helmet. For the main listing, it still showed the TFA helmet, despite them saying they'd "upgraded" the suit and helmet to TLJ (regardless of whether anyone who ordered the TFA ensemble or helmet wanted the TLJ version). So that's what DN has to work with. Changing the picture on the listing would require getting a TLJ/TROS prototype in-hand, having it pass Disney and LFL approval, taking pictures of it, having those pass Disney and LFL approval, then getting approval for the finished revised listing... Or just use what they were sent and not worry about it.

Frankly, I think it's stupid of LFL to not send them/let them use the TFA helmets that Anovos already had the production capacity for, from the ones that were made and sent out, just to let them get those into production again to have something to sell. Since some of us do actually prefer that version. As it is, I had a trade lined up, and I need ot check in with him and see if he's still up for it.

I assume you are referring to an abs FO TK helmet. The list of future products posted earlier just said "First Order Stormtrooper Helmet", "First Order Executioner Helmet", "F.O. Stormtrooper Premier Helmet", and "F.O. Executioner Premier Helmet". Denuo Novo now has a TFA and TLJ premier helmet available for order, so maybe they will produce both in the abs version.

Have they said anything about the helmet for those that ordered the Anovos armor/helmet combo?

Looking forward to seeing the Jango helmet. I wasn't impressed with their sample at Celebration.

Came across the Jango helmet on ebay.

The weathering is almost non existent on this one, but that's easy to add.

I dislike how the liner covers up the rear vent. I can't tell if there is mesh screen inside the vents, but the liner absolutely needs to be removed from that area to be accurate. The only other thing bothering me is how the bottom edge of the ears are unpainted. I'd really like to know if the rangefinder stalk doesn't rotate.

If they’re going for screen accurate then the range finder stalk is static. It moves in the movie (CG) but the prop doesn’t, the RF stalk sits in a slot between the outer and inner ear parts on the original helmets.
