They put several pieces of golden sequins on it. There is "Costographer LV" on Facebook who sells at the moment the best handmade replica of this Jacket for about $300:

There are several companies making replicas, good find! However they are still painting the diamond part white instead of leaving the natural wood grain.

You can buy this Replica on following page: https://www.popcultcha.com.au/suicide-squad-harley-quinn-good-night-baseball-bat-replica.html
I think instead of eFX the best replica so far. eFX will be too expensive, like allways.

I have sized my letters twice now, but they still don't seem right. The first time, the letters were 1-1/2" high, but it extended too far down the bat I think I resized it to a letter height of 1-1/4" and about (1/4" space between), but it now seems to narrow. I am a little AR, so any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. The overal length of the bat is 32-1/2". I'm also not too sure the distance between the "T" and the diamond choker. (I only really have CAD to work with for my font work (unless there is something else easier to work with that does not involve $$)Sorry it is only in Pencil still as I don't want to sand off a mistake...

Forgive me if this has been touched on, but was the hyena skull ring a found item, or custom made for production? And, aside from the safety pin earrings, does anyone know who made the other earrings? Thanks!

I think your letters are looking good. What my Dad and I are doing, for our stencil, is taking a screenshot of her bat
and print it out on paper. Enlarging it until it fit the bat perfect. And I believe that the letters ended up an inch and 1/8.
We are still in the beginning stages of it, but the sizing looks good! So then we will just cut out the letters and there, we have a stencil.

The ring was custom made by Stephen Arthur, I think? But a few pages back thecatwho was 3D printing one. I tried messaging thecatwho to see if there was to be a run. But no response yet. I sure hope there will be it was looking really good!! Here it is:

I have no clue about the earrings, they look custom. But who knows.

Yours looks great! I think the spacing in between the two words looks correct. The spacing between the letters also looks correct. I think you can move both words up towards the top of the bat by 1/4" or so, if you wanna be super picky. It's pretty close to the top on the actual prop. Here's a picture of mine for comparison (not that one is more right than the other). Sorry I don't have the full bat in view for context. The perspective in my photo makes the "G" look closer to the top than it is, mines just a bit higher than yours.

IMG_7127-1_zpsx5sxfcbn.jpg

I've used a combination of all the techniques here. I printed the prop photo at full size (33" across 3 printer sheets) so that I could get the proportions right. I also scaled the font in Photoshop to match the bat photos, then printed full size and created a stencil. Your text looks great, but its a little thinner than mine. However, there were definitely multiple props made (at least 2 by my count - one given to Harley Quinn Smith, and one on display at the WB exhibit). There's also a few different replica prop photos out there, each with their own degree of authenticity. So I think some of this will come down to personal preference, and the handmade nature of it. Once it's all together, a few centimeters here and there are not going to be noticeable.

The only thing I would reconsider on yours is where you've marked the "diamond pattern" to be. It looks too high up. There's only about 9" of grip wrap (see my post #219). Could be camera perspective, or the fact that it's just pencil right now, but looks about 1" too high maybe.

What are you all using to seal your bats without causing the sharpie to bleed?

I'm probably going to seal mine with clear coat acrylic spray paint. It's the same sort of clear coat they would use to seal the original bat - and you can spray it on in light coats to avoid the sharpie from running.

Thanks! I ended up taking Athena's advice, similar to yours above, and printed out one of the prints and scaled it. It was super pixalated, but luckily I had a lot of practice cutting out my "skinny" templates so I think it will work well. As long as I can get the "Good Night" on there, the next problem will be that I have not written much in cursive in the past 25 years.

Yeah, that's where I'm at too. The wrap, diamonds, and "GOOD NIGHT" are all fairly straightforward. Writing cursive to match as closely as possible seems a little trickier. I know on the EFX Replica bat (not for sale yet) - they said they made a stencil, and had someone hand trace it with a sharpie. Not sure how that works with cursive and all the intersecting lines... but trying to think of a way to make a "template" so I don't have to do it by eye.

If I had to cut the letters out myself I would probably need to do it a few times before getting it right! But I have my dad to help. Woo Hoo! I'm with ya. I'm nervous about writing the words. We are making a rubber bat, so I can carry it all night { Halloween } without getting tired!! So there's really no just sanding it off and starting over. But we also have a real one,{ the on I pictured } maybe I'll practice on that. Fingers crossed!

I used the Varathane crystal clear finish in satin! No bleeding at all! I just got it from a local hardware store

I posted about this earlier but does anyone know where you can get the sequin-chain things on her jacket? I'm not even 100% sure what they are.

also for the bat, I made this using the suggested font and cropped the letters so they're the same size. You'll have to round of the G's if you want it super movie accurate though!

It drove me nuts trying to figure out from the trailer pics what the trim on the sleeves was, but once someone got a clear shot of the WB display, it was obvious they weren't sequins or any other kind of fabric trim. From one angle it looked like it might be a box-pleated gold trim sewn down the middle, but the edge views don't support that. There is also a very distinct heart-shaped pattern that comes from a chain. I found some flattened link chain at Jo-Anns that I'm using for mine; the only problem was that I could only get it in nickel-plate, so I had to paint mine gold.

Also, although the replica jacket looks nice enough, it still isn't the right base material for the jacket. Take a real good look at the WB pics on display further back in the thread: the jacket is made of some kind of slightly sparkly knit material. I have been trying to find a match, since it is clearly not the slick satiny material everyone is making their jackets out of. If anyone else can identify it, I'd love the heads-up.

At first I thought you guys were crazy! I was like its just gold sequins!! But now as I look at it more closely your right. And now I'm on the hunt for what they used............thanks a lot!:lol

Just thought I'll share a couple of templates I've made since this thread has been so helpful to me and I'm always checking back here for information, so I felt as though I should give something back. :)

(Apologies in advance, I don't know how this site works with images and these are quite big, I hope they upload nicely and if not, I'll upload them somewhere else and give the links.)

For the GOOD NIGHT on Harley's bat, I used the Bernard font people have been suggesting and put it on top of a photo and warped the letters in photoshop until they matched the reference more accurately.
I had to re-draw most of the G and I'm really pleased with the result.

Here's a text comparison:
text comparison.png

And here's an image of the text ready to print onto A4 paper (if you want to use it, make sure you check it's the size you want and check the space between the words. I also added a border around each letter after drawing them onto my prop because I wanted the letters to be thicker.):

baseball bat ref text.png

I've also done the Daddy's Lil Monster on her shirt. I used a few different types of the Jezebel font to get all the letters looking as close as possible (for example you can see that there are two different types of S in the reference image.) I also did a bit of warping in Photoshop to get the angles and general shapes looking close.

Here you can see the reference I used next to the template I made:
Daddy's Lil Monster ref.pngDaddy's Lil Monster.png

And here's an image ready for printing onto iron-on transfer paper:

I also wanted to point out that Harley's choker uses a "locking buckle" (the tongue/prong has a loop on the end that you can put a padlock through)
This image is a clear example of the type of buckle I believe they've used for her choker:
Locking_buckle_black_wlock.jpg

She also *sometimes* has a heart-shaped padlock. Here's one of my research pages along with a couple of items I thought looked very close:
