Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

I plan on pursuing to enroll in this , but really hate to start over after getting to issue 20....but it looks like I have no choice....going to wait a couple of months

Or you can wait til the first run is over... then I'm sure they'll allow you to buy each issue individually... just means you'll have to wait a year or two

Interesting that the loading ramp frames will block looking into the interior when the ramp is lowered.

There's actually no interior for the ramp.

Yeah that really sucks, but I'm sure that once the actual ramp and it's electronics are shipped, someone will figure out a way to make the interior look better... just hope they'll be able to figure it out with a working ramp and hopefully won't have to sacrifice the motorized opening and closing to do so!

At least the metal frame is shaped upward in the hatch so it's not hanging in the door opening. Either way, that frame is going to be in the way of any interior someone creates unless you chop it out.

Would you mind posting a close-up of the boarding ramp? I'm trying to make out what they are doing in that area.
Pics of the ramp framework, missing of course the final 2 frames from next week. :D

Wow. These guys are really out to please with this model. Loved the video... I wasn't going to touch the finished falcon, but now I'm not sure.

I love how they're handling mistakes, tutorials, everything. If this continues I will no doubt jump on future models from the Star Wars universe.

I know right! :) I love how you just KNOW that Steve is one of us... the guy knows his stuff! He's also a very big fan and a builder on top of that. He's got that builder sense of humor that you gotta love! I love how he addressed "Don't glue the cockpit on! Don't do it!!" Awesome stuff for sure. Can't wait to get more of this baby!

"Oh, I hope they don't screw up the... the tank part... cuz that... that would be AWFUL if they did!"

I have to agree, 99% right is still really good! I f I feel the need to fix the 1% that might be wrong, there are several avenues I could do that: Shapeways parts, scratchbuilding, kit-bashing...

There is no way the model details are 99% accurate like Steve says. It's a good looking model, just like the MR falcon, but it's far from being 99% accurate.

i'm not a studio scale guru by any means (this is my first one) but even i can tell that the details resemble the kit parts used.

it is in no way or will never be screen accurate.

with a good paint job and some extra detailing this could be a very nice piece.

built straight from the packets and assembled this will be a BIG let down for many people.
