Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

If I were building this (I am still holding out for an option to buy this at the end) I think I would try and incorporate tradition mounting points attached to the metal frame,, obviously normal tube internal structures cannot be used but it would be a good engineering problem to solve and give you three or four mounting options ,

Yeah -- just about there. I was thinking about getting a bunch of the 6" modules instead of the 12" to make it look a little distant or something, and add one of the Turret towers from Tony's Shapeways shop, and I bought the Randy Cooper sidewalls, but that's about what I was shooting for. Haven't done anything on it since starting the DeAgo parts, don't know where I'd keep two big Falcons.

Those are six inch tiles. 6 of them in all.

Ok all... I think I've finally got a new set of stickers for the DeAgostini Falcon done. Or at least done to a point where they can be used by everyone. However, I don't want to publically release them just yet... need a few volunteers to test em out and let me know if they work for you! Here's an example pic of the new stickers for the kit for the cockpit. I've gleened a lot of sources and had some help from SofaKing and Steve StarKiller... but the first 5 people to PM me I'll send ya link to the full PDF Hires file for printing the stickers out and replace the ones that come with the kit!

Mind you that is a very low res pic. The high res one prints very nicely and all the lines come out! I'll be giving this away to anyone who wants it but just want a few people to test it out first! So the first 5 people to PM will get the hires for testing! I also plan on making a raised section for the control panel for the levers as well as the square monitor there! But these should work for now! Lemme know what you think!

Door 2 is actually a faux opened door to show the corridor in the background. Since the door well for the kit is so deep, I'm sure that it wouldn't look too bad!

Just wondering if any of you experts had any ideas for the electronics bay? I hate the idea of just putting a sealed door there, but there sure isn't much room for anything else.

If you're talking about that little room off the main cargo bay where Leia and Han kissed, it's still a little early yet to plan that area because we still aren't very sure about how much room we're gonna have in the hull when everything is done. I'm hoping we'll have enough room to put the floor pit details!

Yep, that's the one I'm talking about. I see what you're saying, but I am just thinking out loud at this point. Whatever happens, that little bit of corridor we have next to it is already so close that nothing will seem to work very well.

I am in the process of cad modeling the entire wall with a sliding door and the hidden room on the other side as well as that entire electronics bay with both doors the one that lea exits after the kiss ( I have been doing this for my self manly but i can put it on shapeway if any one wants it .It will probably take another week or so to finish it lots of detail in that room )

your rite i am having a hard time trying to decide where to put the ceiling and the floor needs to be attached to the wall, we will see


I am in the process of figuring out just how to modify one of the deago s so i can build one of the other center cockpit and totally different rear-end but i will have to whate until i have almost all the kit

I just used some photo paper and then some spray adhesive on the back... seems to work pretty well because I also sprayed with a satin dull finish afterward and looks very nice.

I've never opened any packages at all...mostly because everything is packed and going thru a divorce....soooooo whats the differences in these stickers and the original stickers...not sure what the originals look like , never had a chance to get wrapped around that project yet ?????????????
