I was thinking about something like the Death Star landscape with the Falcon flying over it enclosed in a plexi coffee table. Not knowing this already existed, I found this place and saw their asteroid base, now I can't decide http://www.scificollectiblesllc.com/mainmenu.html These bases are specifically for the MR falcon so they should be perfect for the DeAg model. One good thing is that this place isn't too far away, I probably won't have to get it shipped. Although I'm sure the amazingly creative folks on here can probably make something similar.
Can I steal this idea for my landed Deago ??. I don't want to do a full "Diaroma" as I have a huge pile of toys for that but I love this idea of the original death star Falcon hanger floor only with the "hole" for a display base. With an acrylic cover that would look awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EpIV - Tatooine Docking Bay

- Yavin (Not seen on screen but we can only assume they landed in the jungle or in temple?)
- Death Star Surface (Not a landing or docking area but a very iconic and common display base for a lot of models)
EpV - Echo Base
- Space Slug Stomach (Ewwww!...Maybe an asteroid would be a better idea)
- Star Destroyer Conning Tower
- Cloud CIty Platform
- Executor Star Destroyer (Not a landing or docking area, but the MF does a close flypast)
- Medical Frigate (Challenging to make and perhaps suspend depending on the Deag Wall Mount, plus part of the Medical Frigate will have to be made...)
EpVI - Tatooine Desert (Not seen on screen)
- Home One Hangar
- Death Star II Reator Shaft (Not a landing or docking area, but I thought I'd include it since the MF was in tight quarters in the shaft and I think it might be a cool way to display it)
- Jungle of Endor (More than likely the MF landed on the surface of the moon after the battle)
There are of course other places, in the SW Universe novels that may be to your liking. Plus TFA might give us some ideas as well.

I saw one of Docking bay 94 in A New Hope. I can't remember which forum it was in, but someone was talking about doing it inside of a glass coffee table. Now that would look pretty awesome

Also I thought of recreating the exit of lando after destroying Death Star before the flame front could be wall mounted , we should have a competition in a years time for a mounting / diorama for falcons

You do realize the wall mount will set the Falcon away from the wall and at an angle about 45 degrees? I wouldn't be flush against the wall!
pretty sure you could put it any angle you wanted,looks just like a standard monitor mount. where did you get your info?

Originally, well at least for the Hasbro conversion I was working on before I started up the DeAgo subscription, I was going to do a MR type display but with Death Star tiles instead of mirror (and have it a little higher up than how close the MR one is to its mirror). There is a guy here on the RPF that makes nice tiles....

Planning on doing a Death Star landing bay now, even though this isn't the ANH 3 landing gear version. Thinking sort of a shadow box with three walls built, and open top. Entrance wall is pretty open anyways so really only 2 walls, which may be semi cutaway, don't have it fully thought out, still have a couple years. The Hasbro Command Ground Assault set has a nice Vader to have standing in the side room, those are about the right size aren't they. Over on the Starship Modeller Facebook page, Yoon-ho Park (Don't know if he's a member, could be in a thread here too, just trying to look has got me into another dozen threads now) post a bunch of pictures of a Y-wing hanger he's built, one of the pictures attached. I like how he greebled up the sides built up to give depth to his pit....

Well the mount free with the magazine looks like a bog standard tv mount , or screen mount but really you could build a custom mount , taking the destroyer as an example , detail a sheet of mdf, perspex on a frame that is hinged , the falcon could be bolted through this wall so it's flush, then push the hinged wall back against the wall .......a bit of lateral thinking ........also I don't think this mount is very good as it breaks the illusion of the scale of the kit, I think anyone,s dioramas we will see as outstanding will not use this mount .

I just noticed that DeAg has just billed me for the 3rd month (installment) so I decided that maybe I should start building. I got my ParaGrafix sheet a while back so I decided to start with that. Having never worked with PE parts I was a bit apprehensive, but I just bit the bullet and used what I had learned from sheetmetal work I've done in the past. It was hard filing down the small nubs on the tiny parts, but pliers helped me a lot. I also wanted to solder the rear bulkhead together. I've never been a great solderer (solderist?) but since my wife got me a Hakko soldering station it has really improved my abilities, those single wattage pencils are a thing of the past now. Granted I'm still not great, but I can get by. I think I still have to file down the solder blobs from where I tacked it together on the inside so that the decals will lay flat. I also didn't install the side tables yet because I have to figure out if they will make installing the decals more difficult. Uggh, decals are another learning curve.

Yeah -- just about there. I was thinking about getting a bunch of the 6" modules instead of the 12" to make it look a little distant or something, and add one of the Turret towers from Tony's Shapeways shop, and I bought the Randy Cooper sidewalls, but that's about what I was shooting for. Haven't done anything on it since starting the DeAgo parts, don't know where I'd keep two big Falcons.

I thought I saw somewhere that the wall mount in the ads is just a TV mount and the final mount was not finished being designed yet, though we do have the mounting holes already in the frame. I agree that it's too spread out and blocks too much, hopefully the final design is not a flat plate for the bottom like in the ads. On the US site they show an optional table top base that the post to the wall mount fits into for an in-flight table display, though it still shows the TV mount used.
