Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Actually it is the 2 footer. There's a box in the the photo that says "2' Falcon accessories" hahaha!

There is a 2 foot version?????????????????????????????????

Never heard of that.

I thought it was 5ft, 32", 10" (Medical Frigate),tiny 2 inchish (8ft model SD Bridge), and an MPC (never proven to be used on film),

When did a 2 ft version show up.?????????????????

Actually there was no 10" version... the 2" footer was used on the SD bridge and the medical frigate. I heard rumor that the MPC kit was based on the 2 footer because the detail wasn't very good, but I think that's just a rumor. The only MPC kits that were used in the film were the X-Wings. Most of them were blown up.

The one under the Medical Frigate is 8" to 10". It's a much less detailed model that is usually on tour with the 5ft. You see it under the full shot of the Medical Frigate model. Then a close up of the 32"

According to everything I have read the 32" was used on the close up shot with the huge SD Bridge.

Yes, my understanding was the MPC was never used. Just for planning. No pic has ever been shown that I can find but it would be sweet if could be proven.

Lots of discussion and pics here:

I thought that one was the 2 footer... it wasn't exactly 2 feet... I think it was like 16-17 inches, but it took the nickname of 2 footer.

Yes definately, the 32 inch was used for the close up of the SD shot. Lorne Peterson's book shows it perfectly. I never really heard of a 2ft version either but the photo clearly says "2ft Falcon accessories" on the box next to the Falcon in the photo.

I think it's the 32 inch and probably just marked 2' on the box. Look at it compared to the Slave I and they are about right to each other.

I can't find anything mentioning a 2' version. Plus it seems odd to build a 24" version and then another version only 8 inches bigger.

That's something new to me... so instead of 4 Falcons, it was 5... 2/3 Full Size, 5' Footer, 32" incher, 2' Footer, Dinner Plate and 2" incher. Good to know! I know the 2' Footer was used on the SD bridge and I thought that it was also used on the Frigate, but I was wrong. I think the 2' Footer was also used in scene when the Falcon is landing on the landing pad on Bespin. I could be wrong thou.

I really don't think there was ever a 2 ft version. I think there was landing gear made for the 32" version and just never used.

Agreed. Maybe they just referred to the 32" as the 2ft. back then? Who knows. Lrdsatyr8, it is definately the 32" used for the close ups of the SD bridge and medical frigate.

Here's a photo of the 10" and 2". 10" was used just docked (taking fuel? docked to vent?) to the medical frigate, 2" was used as the falcon was escaping the space slug and on long shots of it attached to the star destroyer.
Also here is the 32" with landing gear on Bespin, in a couple photos, next to the 2nd one is a box saying 2' Falcon. This is in reference to the saucer diameter of the 32" which is close to 24". (sorry didn't like uploading that last one, looks like you posted it) --- sorry, i took a long bit in my reply with dinner too, and a bunch of discussion took place already

There is a mention in another thread that the 32" did have landing gear because they did the bespin landing shot with it first but it did not look good so they used the 5ft in the end.

The 5ft was supposidly the one in the cave as well.

I've been reading this from the start, but haven't posted much (as I'm way behind on the issues)
I finally have the first 7 :) I was planning to make a replica anyway and had been collecting kits for sometime.
I'm still going to do many mods and corrections, plus replace many of the kit parts.
But I wanted to compare some of the parts and so far I'm impressed. Some aren't so good, but most are!

Lee your current builds are awesome, always wanted both ships but specifically wanted to build a brass rod studio scale eagle, very cool

The 32" had landing gear for the shot of it parked inside the slug. Establishing shot before cutting Leia in the cockpit.
