Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Issue 2 out today, very nice detail for gun turret , as discussed it's too large for hasbro model, I'll have to decide on that . Here's the shots

The Falcon can be overwhelming. The nice thing about this is you can work on each piece as it comes and get as much detail as you want. It's not too much at once.

Personally I am going to take each piece as it comes and then check out every good shot of the 32" model of that piece and get it as close as possible. Minus any signatures.

I don't want to wait and tackle it once it's all together. Gonna do it as it comes.

In that way getting a few pieces monthly actually makes it easier.

This is assuming the paint job is good and I don't have to re-paint the darn thing once it's all together.

This is why I'm bailing on the Hasbro upgrade... it's getting too expensive with all parts. This is expensive as well, but could be considered DONE with JUST the parts there... I will likely accurize myself, but it won't be the crazy changes like I'm seeing on the BMF thread.

I just got issues 2 and 3 today, and good Lord, the turret detailing and sculpting is sublime! I REALLY get the feeling that the old, original sculpts were just quick proof of concept sculpts.
The new stuff is waaayyyy better. Even the cockpit chairs and main console and doorway are gigantically improved, so much more accurate now.

I also got the freebie T-shirt too which is VERY cool!

Check here for some of the changes.

According to their website, the Falcon can't be ordered in Germany any more... too bad! :-(

Patience, my young ...
This statement appeared on their website when they have put the subscription on halt. Rumors say that the subscription will be re-launched in Germany at end of February / begin of March.
They would be crazy not to offer the kit Germany. It is a big market and the design work is already done. So the only additional work needed to increase total production volume is to translate the magazine. That can be done for minimal costs.

I apologize if this is old news, but I received this from ModelSpace this morning. I sent them an email yesterday inquiring about US availability.

"Thanks for your email and interestPlease note that Millennium Falcon will be available in US in February

ThanksRegards

Now all I need to do is convince my wife that I need to spend $40 a month on this!

I'm rapidly going off this,,,,,That interior is borderline pointless and worse than a toy and though this doesn't look like the paint job that comes with the model it does really detract from the build and makes it look even more amateur. Its a shame that got it so close but it is worrying me now...well i say worry...its more meh!!! This looks like a repaint by my daughter so wonder if this was for a repaint guide as that has been mentioned?
