Gorgeous work! I was wondering about the styrene you used, I've heard it mentioned as a material to use before but I don't know much about it. What's your experience with it: shaping, cutting, painting etc
Actually I use a mixture of wonderflex and styrene. Wonderflex is a closed cell almost foam board plastic, it is pretty easy to cut and can be heat form to the desired shape. Styrene is just plastic sheeting. A lot of hobby models are made using it becasuse once scored it breaks clean and so you cen get very small details. With all of my build wether its wonderflex, styrene or resin. I use a self etching primer then use a regular primer and if you do that paint will stick just fine.
Whats the wonderflex and styrene like to work with, how hot do you have to get it for it to bend around (can I use a hair dryer) also are they lightweight? I'm looking for something rigid and strong but not heavy
for never sewing anything in your life, you got some pretty decent straight lines there.
You probably would have laughed at how slow I actually had the machine running.
That looks great, perfect chocie of material :thumbsup
That looks really good, man. I was in a rut on my own build but seeing all of this progress re-inspired me lol. All I can say at this point is fantastic. Can't wait to see the whole thing at 100%! That leather material is friggin' perfect too.
