Ok, so I finished my Isaac Clarke DEAD SPACE helmet. This is level 3 helmet from the first game you can find the build here http://www.therpf.com/f24/dead-space-helmet-lights-installed-201960/

Now I am starting the rest of the Level 3 suit. I figured the back rig will be the next most difficult part of the build, so here we go. The rigs base will be styrene and I will probably cover most of this with craft foam, but we shall see.

Brilliant keep up the awesome work!

Are you building that out of foam mount board by any chance?

Started to assemble the bit and pieces that will make up the back rig. The styrene was heated and formed to fit my back and shoulders.

It's all styrene right now. But I will be going back in and adding foam to bulk up the underside and create some extra details.

Loving the detail! Once you get the foam to bulk it out, will the parts move enough to be comfortable once the ribs are on?

Thanks!
The rig is actually in 3 different pieces held together with elastic. So it should be able to flex even with a bit more detail on there. The ribs are also going to be held in place with elastic and will be made out of mat foam and will be heat formed so they can wrap around my mid section.
