So recently a friend and I were talking about going to the next Comic Con and dressing up as some of our favorite Star Wars Characters. I picked a clone trooper, and while the DC-15c is a sick blaster I wanted the full sized rifle. I couldn't find much on the blaster, How-to wise, so i decided to start my own.

I started off by doing a few simple outlines and plans on MS paint lol

(Green) Wood
(Blue) Metal
(Red)(Yellow) PVC

I did a little research and found out the blaster is 1.3m long, i made it a little shorter at an even 4ft.
I printed out my plans and hit the hardware store.

Didnt pick up much today, but...
For the wooden parts I snagged a 4'x8' sheet of .5" Ply-Board
For the barrel set up I picked up 1.5" and 2" PVC

After i got back it started raining... So no wood cutting just yet :cry. However i used this time to cut out some stencils and cut the PVC to size.
Cut the 1.5" PVC down to 30" and the 2" i believe to 13"

The picture only shows the 30" piece of 1.5" PVC not the 2" muzzle

This is all i have so far, should start cutting the wood tomorrow and will be taking and posting picture along the build
let me know what you think, thanks!

Traced out all of the stencils onto the .5" play-board today, i was only able to find enough time to cut out the main body of the blaster today. Have to glue and bolt the 4 pieces together and make them all the same shape.

I've been looking at loads of reference pictures, the MS Paint was just to plan everything out for myself. Thanks

Okay so last night I glued and clamped all of the layers together. This gave me a rough body for the blaster and is now ready for shaping.

When that was drying i worked on the barrel a little bit.
for the muzzle i found a PVC 1.5" to .5" adapter that fit perfectly inside the 2" PVC. I added piece of .5" CPVC nested inside of .5" PVC

I then shortened down the CPVC and filled in the gaps between the pipes with epoxy putty.

The rough body joined with the barrel.

After I clean up the shop I will finish shaping the body and get on my way to finishing the blaster.

So i wasnt too happy with how the Blaster was comming out, so i re designed it.
I slimmed the blaster down by making the body 3 layers, 2 sides of .5" and 1 center of .75"
i also slimmed the barrel down by making it 1" with a muzzle of 1.25"
i did the same thing as before for the muzzle tip with the addaoter to .5" and .5" CPVC inside.
heres the pictures of the build

I put a 1" wooden rod down the barrel and bored out a 1" hole in the end of the body of the blaster

the original vs the new design
