Jango Fetts Westar 34 (scratch built)

awesome, looking better already!
still need small bevels on all the angles of the grips:

And I think you still not quite there yet with the emiter holes, I think the diameter should still be better and played with the position a bit.
Are you able to take your model and match it inside your software with your 3D camera? this is how I work on my 3D model. As many references matched as possible, when the details are correct on all cameras, then I know my model is very accurate. This is the best way to see if those hole are matching and sizes are correct everywhere :)

for the story, those bevels on the handle were not correct at the time on the dark energy creation kit, this is the first thing I corrected when I got my kit, it was a bit crazy, I took a wood router to it and made them larger, then sanded a bit everything to get the organic feel they have:

to be honest, you can probably still make yours larger, they basically go all the way until they reach the inside cuttouts of the handle.
cheers

Alrighty, so this is probably as close as I am gonna get without having more images of the master prop.
I found some of a stunt cast but those are probably quite inaccurate.

Around how much are you being quoted?
Depends quite a lot on the shop and the amount of props, the level of finish etc. I think the very lowest quote I've gotten was 106 dollars but that's without the grip and from china so there will be import taxes and a fair bit of shipping added, plus import taxes plus offsetting the price of a prototype .Right now I would expect the final amount to be around 250-450$ depending on its a kit, a finished prop (which would mean a lot more work for me) and if the quality of the lower priced shops is sufficient. But we'll see.

Alrighty, so a small update. I am currently on Vacation and kinda travelling around in Scandinavia but today I was home and had some time to go to the workshop.
Started painting those with AK Metals Base Black with my new Airbrush. It's my first time airbrushing and I think I went a bit too thick on some layers so I might have to redo it but I'll see how it looks tomorrow.

great work,
a few more details that I can report on your 3D model if you will,
- overall, the slanted part above the hande is slightly longer than you made it on your model
- the screw head on the handle should be a bigger size screw
- still a bit of work needed on the handle itself, but it's a more organic shape, so it's difficult to explain and each will have his own feel on it. Overall, to me, the original handle is very rounded, I have highlited a few details on yours that I would modify anyways, one of which being the thickness of the handle close to the trigger.
- the back end detail of the main barrel has a very strong and high bevel on the original and a slightly larger diameter I think. for now, your bevel looks a bit shy while comparing to the refs.
- the back brass pin on yours is a bit too big.
- finally, I have honestly no idea what is going on with the brass pin in the front of the handle on the original, I don't have another ref for it as it's not visible on the stunts. It looks like there are two different diameters, I have never seen this reproduced and I don't know what to make of it, just drawing attention to it.
- I didn't note it on the drawing, but now looking at it, the pill shaped recess on the slanted part above the handle could be a bit thicker too (in height)
I hope that helps. your model is looking great now, I hope you can implement a bit of this to make it even better :)
cheers
