D.C.'s Gotham tv series

What happened to Bullock? I don't remember him getting killed

Also, I don't get why what would appear to be a medical doctor would agree to treat someone for PTSD, let alone for her lovers ex. There is a whole profession of psychologists and psychiatrists who are licensed to deal with that. Isn't that malpractice/lawsuit written all over it. I get that they wanted that showdown to happen, but there could have been a more plausible reason.

Yeah, that was just a joke. Character wise, he is one of the best characters on the show so I don't see the writers writing him out of it that lamely

As soon as Maroni started wheedling on Fish and would not let up, I knew he was going to bite it.

I do like that Falcone isn't so power hungry to ignore facts. His speech about Gotham needing a good, honest lawman to bring the city to some semblance of control was simply sublime. He knows that the days of criminals running Gotham are coming to an end despite even his own power and influence. It has grown out of his control and needs to be brought to heel, and he knows that Gordon's the man to do it. Why? Falcone recognizes defeat and knows how to pick his battles. In the short time that Gordon has been there, he's already gotten some of the police on his side and isn't afraid to go after the corrupt. He's proven to be hard to kill and impossible to corrupt. Falcone is simply making the smart move and getting out while he can. Maybe one day he'll show back up, but for now, he's out.

Been binging on this on Netflix. Reaaaaallly liking it so far. I was worried, because I think Arrow is a silly soap opera, but Gotham is really working for me. Kind of a Se7en visual aesthetic, fun, familiar villains, pretty much a home run for me.

We're three episodes into the season, where's the discussion? :)

SPOILER:

I was surprised they killed whatsisface. So he wasn't Joker, then?

I was kind of expecting it after I read an article a few days ago where the creators kind of hinted that we would have a concrete answer as to whether he was the Joker as well as the notion that the Joker as we know him could be a copycat of someone

I thought he made a great Joker, but we'll see what happens

I think they really shot themselves in the foot with this one. That actor playing Jerome was really encompassing one of the best versions of the Joker we have ever seen. It was waving a steak in the face of fans and saying "Gotcha"!

I've read where the producers say that the Joker is, at this point, just an idea that builds into a single person. With the ending of that episode with everyone laughing it looks more like the Joker is nothing more than a copycat. I love Gotham. Love what they have done. Hate this idea. I dare to say that Cameron Monaghan has given the best interpretation of the Joker, at least to me, that we have seen yet.

They better have something REALLY clever up their sleeves or I'm going to slip out of fandom real quick.

Oh, and did anyone else notice the nod to Harley Quinn when Barbara bopped the dude on the head with the hammer?

Supposedly going to see Mr Freeze and Hugo strange this season as they delve more into Arkham and the underbelly of Wayne enterprises

See I thought that one dude from Arkham a few episodes back was Hugo Strange. I don't like this teasing of characters only to find out they're not who we thought thing they're doing.

AS some have been saying Jerome was Jim Gordon's Joker, but not batman's joker. Like you I hope they don't get too caught up in teasing characters only to find out its not that character

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only villains we know for sure are who we thought they were are Penguin and Scarecrow (Jonathan Crane).

I didn't like Jerome dying either, he was perfect in the role, the laugh just perfect. I Also didn't like how Alfred all of the sudden can't take out a second rate henchman. I DID like Alfred Macking on Lee only at the end to see her kiss Gordon and was all "Oh Bugger". Not that I blame him Morena has that effect on men.

I was impressed with the guy playing Jerome, since it's hard to avoid copying Ledger, Hamill, and/or Nicholson. I thought he did a fine job borrowing from each one without being too obvious about it.

Not that I blame him Morena has that effect on men.

Apparently so, since she and Ben McKenzie (Jim) are dating IRL now.

Interesting episode this week. I always like Michael Chiklis. I wonder how many times he goofed by saying "strike team" rather than "strike force"...

And Alfred's scene with Selina was unexpected. I guess if you're old enough to kill someone, you're old enough to take a backhand to the face.
