Crysis 3 Nanosuit

Great work. How are you going to strengthen it?
Thank you. I will not add anything in this arm because is few mm of latex. In some spots 5mm. I tested elastic bandage and maybe this time I will add less latex and maybe few layers of bandage to compare this arms and decide how to make all parts. In Pundland shop they have very cheap elastic bandage for 1£ 4 rolls.

Hi
Small update.
Costume is 3d printed in 95% - need boots only.
I made 4 latex casts of arm and soon will start making mould of torso.
I am happy about using body filler . You do not have to use it with 3d printed parts because later I will make clay copies and this will be very easy to just smooth and fix using tools and clay. You can see one arm is with big gaps and line because I will fix it later when will make it from clay

I am not sure where I will put all this parts to be honest. I need to make mould for 3d printed , then make clay cast and another mould using plaster. Basically will have like 3 full size costumes in pieces + copies from latex.

Question for you. So you are doing the body latex casting in separate parts correct? Arms, body, legs, etc. How to you plan to make the transition between the casts seemless? Are you going to brush up latex on the seams to hide them? Are you placing the seems in specific points to hide them better?

Hi
Small update for you. I took one week of holidays (my company is open and will come back there next Monday)
I hope you are all safe and with family.

I decided to try Matrix mould for first time. I like this method because can be sure about thickness of the silicone walls and silicone will be shaped exactly like I want. Unfortunately it is very slow process for me . I am using casting plaster and plaster of paris for the shell . It is heavy but a lot cheaper comparing to shell made from plasti-paste.
I am using Monster Clay for splashing silicone mould , wed clay for making shapes and yellow wax fillet block if I am out of wed clay.
For torso I can not make matrix mould because I need to use old silicone grinded into pieces and mixed with fresh silicone. Small and medium pieces- matrix moulds and big pieces- brush mould.

Hi
Small update with the torso of Nanosuit.
Unfortunately I have to melt clay again and try to cast in one piece rotating every day silicone mould to make next piece . When you rotate silicone mould and clay is on the top, it is to heavy and collapse with silicone destroying the shape of the cast . I was trying to match front and back pieces together but top piece is to heavy to do it. I will try do it again or just cast back and front again but make them stronger in connection points.
If this idea will fail , I will make front piece and back piece separately and will make plaster cast for back and front. I will have latex cast to trip and glue together.
Melting Monster clay is very slow process .

I made second back piece using almost all Monster Clay -around 15-20 kg.
Most of bigger holes and broken pieces are fixed and will start plaster mold tomorrow .

okay, do I sound weird to mention that the splatter screens in some men's urinals are hexagonal, so, they make me think how they'd be perfect to lay a pattern down on a nano suit?

I have 3 sizes of hexagon stencils and plotter. It was cheaper to buy machine and cut than pay for all stencils. I hope will make it nice but first need all parts :)

small update guys. Front is done for cleaning. Unfortunately have 6 spots where clay is not level between layers and I need to fix it. Also will make silicone mold of neck piece in one part to cast clay. I will make latex cast of neck and glue together to the body.
