I put this in "Prop Forum" because it may have some applications with paper props, line art for computer-aided machining and such like. :)

I ran thru this photo as an experiment... just a few tweaks, I didn't really mess with it too much during the conversion.

Verdict: pretty good on the artwork! This is kind of a worst case, since it has gradients and small type, neither of which came thru very well. Still, with some practice, you could probably get better results.

A pro artist would nuke the type anyway and redo that. But it would save you a step or two on occasion.

PC software has offered this type of thing, vectorization, autotrace , whatever you want to call it, for ten years or more, but it has never really worked very well. This is nice because it's free and tweakable.

Good job on the main logo... but again, the tiny type isn't coming through too well.

Still, for what it can do, it's not bad.

Thanks phase pistol!
I watched their little video and then signed up! I am hoping I can use it to create/modify PADD screens with a little more ease and a lot less messing around!
I will need to find out if I can replace lettering after the conversion! If I can do that then I see no problem to making fantastic looking screens!
Again many thanks for sharing this with us, Petseal

Good couple of tests. Doesn't look too much better than a good autotrace in Illustrator. But it could definitely save some time on simpler things.

This software link was sent to me yesterday to try as in the last couple weeks I had used Coreldraw Trace to vectorize a Lost Dharma Swan logo to cut on my laser. I had to tweak it for 6-8 hours before I was happy with it.

When I used this free one, it was essentially usable right off the page, and more accurate than the one I ended up with. The ability to tweak it as you go with variable settings is really great.
