Guys and gals. Sorry for the delay. Today was a big day of R2 building, and I had my machining class at night, so it ran late.
But allow me to take this opportunity to put the conspiracies to rest. I cancelled Project:Korben Dallas because in a short while, there will be released the officially licensed Korben Dallas Blaster. At last.. I know I personally have been trying to get an accurate Korben Dallas blaster together for almost five years now. My research has LITERALLY been globe spanning. Many hours and dollars were spent pursuing this dream. And JUST when I am on the cusp of attempting it myself, out of the woodwork comes the answers to some long standing dreams.
It is actually molded directly from the screenused hero. Those of you who know me know that I would not make that statement unless I knew FOR SURE that this was the case. And believe me, I would know. Not made from screengrabs or reference photos, or blueprints but molded from the real thing. You cannot get more authentic than that.
I only have a few other scraps of information available to me at this time, and I'm not sure how much I should/can disclose, but that should be enough to answer the begging questions.
Perhaps even better news is that this is going to happen REALLY soon. (unless of course, something goes horribly wrong) So the wait for a highly accurate, very well priced Korben Dallas blaster replica is nearly over.
