Unlimited Run Completed 11th / 12th Doctor Sonic remote conversions Last call for deluxe sonics!

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Is it shipped from america? If so, would it cost for it to be shipped to the UK?

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Yes, these are shipped from the US and there is no additional charge for international shipping for standard first class mail (roughly 2 week delivery). If you want faster delivery times, those do incur additional charges.

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Hey are you still doing them i am really interested in it

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

The sonic is perfect. Just as well made as the first with the added looseness for flicking and it slides down far enough to lock. I am a million times more satisfied then before! Definitely recommend to those of you following this topic.

One small small thing...(im sorry i think I'm probably the most frustrating customer ever.) U still havent sent the guts or the blueprint with the sonic. and....idk why....but I sent literally everything back from the first box. And by everything I mean the display case....

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Hello there! Me John again! Just wondering if you are still making these and if you ship to new New Zealand? :)
Cheers!

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Hey everyone, sorry for my absence lately. Been celebrating the holidays the family. I will return to my shop this coming sunday and sonic work will resume. Cheers and Happy New Year everyone!!

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Hey, I am definitely interested in this, and will buy one when I have the money. I was just wondering why it cost so much? I understand the remote and CO toy cost some money, but is it the resin that cost so much? Or the metal parts? I am just curious.

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Proudnerd: materials plus labor alone I imagine!

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

This is a prop forum after all, not a factory churning out thousands of the same model for wholesale. If you really wonder why a hand-crafted prop costs what it does, make it yourself and ask yourself how much someone would have to pay you to make it for them. Your answer will invariably be a higher number than what most of the skilled folks on this here forum charge for custom conversions/builds.

I just completed my own conversion and it is a) time consuming and b) a lot of precision and skill required in spots.
For example, wiring the switch is difficult due to the tiny, frail wires in the toy. One wire melted and retreated inside the core and I had to cut it out. Total frustrating mess.
There is a great risk of mangling your remote. Trimming the channels on the brass cage can look messy if you don't do it right. Same with trimming the claws. You can sand out too much of the plastic inside the handle and make the whole thing unstable and fragile (it could snap in half when you flick it).
Plus the marbled core looks much better than the toy core. The new colors for the emitter are also unique to Kurosawa and are closer to screen accurate than the Wand Co or toy versions.
The way he reorganized the electronics makes it a lot easier to perform maintenance (changing batteries on mine requires total disassembly).
The custom built claw brackets and his SA screw on the white handle are also things a lot if us wouldn't be able to do on our own.

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts

Hello everyone, I am offering both pre-completed sonics as well as conversion services to turn The Wand Company Remote, into an extending replica with full light and sound.

Features:

 • constructed from Wand Company Universal Remote Control & Co toy.
 • screen accurate momentary button activation
 • Flick to open action
 • spring loaded claws
 • green tinted cast resin core
 • brushed copper finish
 • 2 interchangeable emitters - secured by a set screw (solid green and red)
 • more accurate filister screw

Price will be $430 shipped to the US

- A minimum deposit of $130 is required or it can be paid in full upfront.

For those who already have a CO toy and Remote who want their sonics converted:
 • $300 includes return shipping - $75 down payment required - the rest is due upon completion
 • Same features are those listed above, with the exception the marbled cores/emitter - those are only available in the completed sonics
 • Turn around time is usually two weeks after work starts on the sonic.

If you do not already have the CO toy and remote and want me to purchase them for you for the conversion, just add the current price on thinkgeek.com for the toy and remote to the $300 and I will purchase them and have them shipped to me to expedite things.

I am also willing to do the conversions for TRADE If you have any of the following:

 • Rylo Hammond Cane
 • Supernatural Angel Blade (aluminum)

For those who want to convert their sonics, I do have emitters available for $12 in the following colors

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c331/SongofChaosZERO/sonic/th_RPF_Sonic16_zps6030f3a8.jpg

 • Red
 • Green

On another note, I have found slightly more accurate fillister screws for the white handle - I have 8 left over so if you want one, it will be $0.75 - for these to be installed properly, you will have to widen the hole in the white handle to the screw sits flush with the rest of the handle

Hi do you have anything else you want to trade because I might have it

Yes, if you need either the remote or toy purchased for you, just add the cost of the item to your down payment and I will take care of the rest.

Re: Completed 11th Doctor Sonic remote conversions + extra parts
