I have both Roman's and Russell's Obi ANH saber where the clamp spacer screws onto the booster. Will the threading on these units be the same with those or needs to be re-threaded? I am interested in 2 of the FX versions if they will work with that I have.

It should work with what u have, Is it the clamp spacer that Roman sells? If it is they will fit, they are using that threading off of the spacer and booster.

Will there be any modification required for the parts to work? For instance to install a latch to hold it closed, or will it just basically drop in to what we already have?

It will just drop into what you already have.
it was designed to have a sliding chamber so that the saber itself does not need to be modified.
Does anyone one currently have a Romans saber and a Russ or parks saber? I just need to know if there is threading on the grenade, and how wide is the inside of the grenade and if the threading is the same as Romans, since these parts are based off of Romans sabers.

Russ and Roman had different threading. Roman's matches the real grenades. Russ' didn't and also had a longer bottom section than the real grenades, so the overall length might be different for your insert. I do not know about Parks threading.

I'm currently looking into an alternative rout for Russ grenades. I just need to find the threading size of what was used on his grenades.

One of the sabers are all Russell's saber parts. I believe he made a spacer for his saber and that's what I have the other is All Roman's. Please put me down for one FX saber unit I am certain that it will also work with Russell's as well.

Thanks got you down for one, would you be willing to check to see if romans hallow spacer fits russ grenade and booster. I read somewhere that the booster fits the spacer but I'm not sure about the grenade.

The threading for russ' spacer is different than roman's for the grenade. The assembly section also have different diameters.
