Just talked with Roman, and his boosters have the same threading on the FX and Static, only difference is the Static is not hallowed out but still has the same threading that attaches to the hallow spacer,
Standard kits will still include threaded rods and bolts to make the saber connect together.

He does still has plenty of grenades available so if you need anything please check his website.

I'm still in for the standard non-fx version. What exactly will be needed to add the LED and complete it? Obviously the LED, but what kind of switch, etc would you use for this? (I've done plenty of wiring in guitars, but nothing like this). Also, how does it latch closed?

Basically when u slide the grenade down over the chamber twist it and the clamp will hold the grenade in place. I have a small demo video on the first page on how the sliding mechanism works. As for the Led I'm trying to get a small circuit board made for a led kit out of schematics that I've put together, but if it doesn't come through I'll post links of other options to get installed. I'm currently gonna use a micro switch under the bubble strip for activation. I'll post pics once I get further into the switch installation

Any idea if when everything is screwed together, will it all be aligned in the "accurate" rotated positions? I know this is probably hard to do, but its a matter of getting the threads positioned right. Whwenever I assemble mine its important for the grenade grooves and holes on the stem to be lined up accurately with the booster and pommel.

Yea before they put the set screws in I'll have them align it as good as possible.
can Any one provide a perfect picture of the alignment for reference.

What will the finish of the metal be, just standard brushed, or smooth?

How does the crystal chamber attach to the clamp spacer? I dont see threads there in the diagrams.

What kind of locking mechanism or design is used for closing and opening the chamber? Is is just an "L" slide track? Id think that wouldnt stay in place well when closed.

Sorry for all the questions. Otherwise yeah, I'm in. I probably don't need the crystal though, I'll be using my own quartz crystal.
