The actual saved cost is more than 250$. When we get this all said and done if we can get 15-20 interested parties we will conciser doing a run of these parts also! Maybe the chassis too.

The lead time on this should be reduced as the cast parts are all small detailed bits that should take longer to make (although you have the setup already done), but casting them should be a bit faster if I am not mistaken. The CNC parts would make a ridiculously incredible upgrade though.

The links are in the Kylo Facebook group. For those who sign up to the run will also get a link where to download the files from shapeways and either have them print them, or you print your own.

yes, all the parts needed to build the saber, but additional parts like the plugs that are only used for a static display and the electronics chassis are not included, but the stl files will be included so you can print them on your own.

I am seriously interested in getting on this run, and would love some info about projected ETA and other logistics. I'm also curious about switch setup, I really don't want to drill holes in something that is this accurate. Is there already a place you have designed for switches to be concealed?

I would also be 100% in for the cast aluminum parts instead of resin.

Turn around time at this point will be super swift from this point on. Proto is almost complete now! All the holes are in place hey U may just have to tap the threads but it might be something thats get doen on our end that is the last bridge to cross after proto type is done.

Derrek has a better understanding of the Plans and files than i do and can probably better answer your question.

There are a couple spots left on the run, but only like 5.

We may do a second run, but it's not guaranteed. Saber runs are a lot of frakkin work.

ETA of all the parts being done is about 3 weeks from now. the majority of the prototype parts are completed so we can verify it all comes together as it should. It's looking spot on so far though..

All of the holes you need for installing are already there. Unless you're doing some crazy additions, all the wire holes and channels and switch holes are there for the standard types of black button switches from TCSS. The internal size of the saber is built based on the TCSS MHS, so all of their standard internal parts will fit. Plus there is enough room for a variety of boards.

Also, we have added options for a fully machined saber. Thee is additional costs that need to be paid for the parts, but if you want em you can get them, and if you don't you'll still get the resin ones.

Gentlemen, you have convinced me. Form filled out and sent for one full metal version. Also, may I request a 7/8 blade socket? If that is still an option...

I splurged. Now I have to refinance my car.

We went away from the 7/8th option otherwise we would not have been able to get better pricing on the saber. Since they would have been different pieces in lower quantity and higher prices. I sent you an email for the deposit.
