The belt clip isn't included? Is that the gold clip you're referring to?

correct, the base and clip used to hold it on the belt. That's the brass colored piece near the pommel. This part can be either ordered as a full unit for the saber and belt from @Sni9er; or he also has the files on shape ways for you to order that piece by itself if you're making a display.

I will revisit this question. I know that there are holes and taps preset, but I will talk to Guabe the creator of the files to verify.

I'm hoping for the opportunity to see the prototype before committing to a deposit. $450 is a lot of dough but worth it for a high quality machined hilt. Apologies if these questions have been answered but...

1) What diameter blade will the hilt take? Are the quillions going to be a smaller diameter or the same size?

2) What will the inside diameter of hilt be?

3) Will you be providing heatsinks for the leds or will we need to acquire them?

4) Will the hilt include working momentary switches?

5) Will blade plugs be provided?

main is 1in, sides are 3/4

2) What will the inside diameter of hilt be?
enough to place in the most boards, batteries and standard speakers, it will fit the plecter labs boards for sure. Guatemala has also designed a chassis that you can print to fit the parts on

3) Will you be providing heatsinks for the leds or will we need to acquire them?
The heat sinks are standard 1in heat sinks from TCSS, for the sides there will be a mini heat sink available as an add on if you want it.
4) Will the hilt include working momentary switches?

5) Will blade plugs be provided?
No, but the files will be available for you to get them through a printing service, or do them yourself.

No details will be lost what so ever during the molding and casting process!

(It is a cheaper way to go if you have the equipment and know how, but you do lose a lot of the high fidelity details that machining each one gives you. Not that cast peices are bad but defiantly not on the same level as a machined part)

medic2410p; is correct.

There will 3 cast parts in this kit. The emitter cutout at the top, the exposed core at the bottom, and the end cap. Having these cast essentially saved you $150 on the cost of the hilt.

We had to get a master part machined in order to be able to cast these parts, so we're showing you the aluminium pieces right now, and will show the 3 cast parts once those are done.

Once we get the primary run done, if there are those who want to get the parts that were cast in aluminum instead, we will do a run of these 3 parts for those who want to go this route.
