Chewie's Frankie and Wolfman (PICS)

Received a couple busts for Father's Day (Way to go Wife!).
Chewie's Bride of Frankenstein and Wolfman.
I just did some clean-up on em today since it was nice weather.
Trimmed all flashing and cleaned out their noses, ears, eyes and hair.
Used an air grinder to knock off the big flashing...used my dremil with various bits to do the fine work. Went back over with some sandpaper in the ears and a good strong brush for the hairlines.
I'd love to paint em...but I'd hate to ruin em. The plan is to get some plaster pillars and make displays for the movie room. Since they're hollow, it is a neat effect to put a light bulb inside for slight illumination.

I took a pic of Frankie next to my Portumac Vader lid to give you a size comparision.
See all the pics I took at :

I've got one of his Han Solo's and also left it white as I like that classical look.

Yours also are awesome - nice collection

Thanks for the offer Steve. I've seen some of your work and it is really cool. I've painted cars, my Vader armor, airbrushed models and t-shirts before..so it isn't completey foreign to me....but making them look realistic is the challenge. Especially Wolfman. I mean, how the devil can it be painted to look "real"? :confused
It'd be nice to get one or something similar in size that is a throw-away...something that went bad and can't be sold off...something I could experiment with and get some tutorials from you guys.

heck, I haven't seen any color photos of Chaney in full make-up come to think of it.

I bought a couple plaster pillars at the hobby store last night.
I also bought a piece of tempered glass, 24" diameter that I was going to put under Frankie...but I wanted a consistant look...all plaster, one-piece items.
Mounted 1" PVC pipe in one to help support Wolfman and it turned out to be pretty neat I think.

Howard- if you do Karloff as the Mummy....I gotta get one :love

Very nice!

I don't know how hard it would be, as I've never painted anything like that, but it might look interesting to paint them in "black and white" so that they looked just like in the old movies.
