Celebrity jerks?

The entire cast and crew of Mythbusters are just the nicest bunch of people you could ever hope to meet. One of my fondest memories was during a shoot when the sound lady (I sadly forget her name) came over to me, and without saying a word handed me the boom, strapped the tape deck onto me, and pointed at Adam, and told me to get to work. It was just cool the way everyone was so inviting and inclusive. Great environment, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed doing their job.

Another funny tiny Mythbusters story that sticks in my head involves Grant. He used to live in a building where I was renting space to build my R2. We would cross paths occasionally and say hello. But the most surreal moment was when I had locked myself out, and Grant was pulling up in his car and used his garage clicker to let me in. Just sort of surreal.

And then there was Tory's mullet wig he wore for halloween, but that's another story.

not really a movie celeb but both me and my sister met Shaq in or around '96 when his movie Kazaam came out. He was doing some promotional work for the movie. I was about 10 at the time and I had no idea who he was (sorry not a big basketball or ****ty movie fan). Anyway my sister and I got pulled out of a small crowd (we had only gone up to see what was going on) because we looked like good photo op material. They made us stand beside him while they took some pics with some posters behind us etc. He signed a photo of himself for us.

It wasn't exactly a bad experience but he seemed totally disinterested in us other than using us for a photo op. On top of that he got very offended when my sister told him she didn't know him. That was the end of that he just death stared us and turned away and we were pushed back into the crowd towards our parents by his guys. Maybe he was just having a rough day but the whole thing seemed odd.

Kate Gosselin is a celebrity? She is a parasite and a tool. Remember how she treated her ex on TV? I bet he's glad to get that monkey off his back.

I would love to throw a monkey wrench in here and write about how nice Matt Winston is, son of Stan Winston. I met him at a Trek convention and he was genuinely one of the nicest people I ever spoke to. He cared about fans, made an effort to get to know us, and went above and beyond. It made it even more special that the last thing the guy needed was the $20 for a picture (which he didn't even want at that). Made a great trip even better. :thumbsup

lets see....great topic ... i've met many celebs though the years. the one that stands out would be the most recent was Adrein Brody . 20th Century Fox hired a group of us to be at the comic con show to promote the release of the new film on blu ray and DVD....during the show they asked me to be his "security walker" along with another member we were pretty happy to be a part of it so we agreed ..

The guy was so down to earth and gave us high praises for the costumes and signed a bunch of stuff for us...
during the show

2 days later i got invited to a party where he was there ...we shared lots of beers and stories about predator. it was "hanzo's" birthday he played the yakuza in the new film, another very down to earth guy.

I second Tom Savini. really nice guy. jeremy bulloch is a legend too. his wife maureen was really friendly.

i wanna defend peter mayhew... after reading a few of these posts i have to say i can see how someone would interpret him... i spent a day with him and it took me a while to get used to his dry humour. also, hes a very ill man. at one point i could honestly see tears in his eyes welling up when he walked.

my conclusion is that he tries his best, but as humans do sometimes loses his patience. i certainly wouldnt call him a bad person. cranky at worst.

another standout guy is chris judge from stargate. spent a few days in a hotel with him and he was a legend. was genuinely struck by how 'normal' he is, and willing to join in with socialising etc. aj buckley was handing out tequilas all night too (sorry to say im teetotal haha!).

im quite dissappointed about julie benz. on the plus side, i met mercedes mcnab from buffy. at one point i thought i was annoying her and said id leave, but she was really friendly and asked me to stay and talk to her (she had no que at that moment) and i left when she had another que forming. she denied photos, but only towards the end of the day, when shes started sneezing and coughing - she really didnt look well. she apologised profusely to anyone she denied though, obviously not wanting to cause offence.

would love to see her again :D

I worked with her , Jack thompson and Jaqueline Mackenzie on a film a while back and she just sat in her trailor until she was called on set. Everyone else just hung around , but most of the crew felt the same. The only major thing she had done at that time was brides of ****** though so maybee she's calmed down a bit now. Jack and jaqui didn't have trailors and they had huge films under their belt.

I guess being in Attack of the Clones and Deep Blue Sea makes you a bit more humble.

I kid, I kid.
