Celebrity jerks?

Ryan Reynolds is an ass - he's a total handjob - acts a lot like a 13yr old.

And I hate to burst everyone bubble here but i've written it here before - one of the - if not the biggest A-HOLE I have ever met has to be Michael J Fox - the guy is a total jerk - imagine someone with a Napoleon complex with money and a bad attitude. total knob

I have trouble believing that.

I met him while he was in Japan doing a press tour for Doc Hollywood, and we had a great time in the interview, and he was a barrel of laughs. Of course, admittedly, I was the newspaper editor who was going to write up this interview with him and publicize the film, but even when the tapes were off, the lights cut and the cameras gone, he was cool as hell to talk to.

I still get a kick out of our introduction. I got there about ten minutes early, so I waited for him to show up, and this was the tail end of a tour of Japan (full of Japanese media and talk shows), and Michael walked in saw me at the table, and faked a coronary, saying "Oh my God, a Caucasian!"

I also had a wonderful interview (again, admittedly on the PR thing) with Jodie Foster, and it was great. She struck me a rather no-nonsense, but I was really impressed by the fact that no matter what I asked, there was no hemming, hawing, or "ummmm"ing. She had an answer and it was RIGHT there. She was sharp as a tack.

The Bruce Willis interview was the icky one.

Oh. I'd just like to add that I'm CRUSHED to hear about Julie Benz. You have no idea how disillusioned I feel.

I wish it were otherwise, myself. I saw a lot of people shell out their $30 only to walk away from her looking very disappointed. If she were younger, I could understand it, but as it stands, she's alienated a lot of fans and I find that very sad.

It's not that she's not talented (I have to admit, I really enjoyed her role in Boondock Saints II). She just needs to get over her sense of entitlement.

Only one bad story for me, Jamie Fox. What a racist *****, I was on the Abriham Lincoln while they shot "Stealth" in 2004, he would only talk and hang out with the black sailors and blow off everyone els. That same trip I also Met Jessica Biel and Rob Cohen. Jessica was awesome and was always down to talk and take pictures when she could. Rob was also cool, he and I were talking while shooting a scene (when Josh Lucas lands on the carriers at night and it raining & the damaged drone comming in behind him).

Mike Hogan & Richard Hatch are also really cool, I met them at the BSG auctions and had dinner and a night of drinking with them.

I've disliked Julie Benz ever since all the stories about what a biotch she was while working on Buffy, and how she made Alyson Hannigan cry.

Robert Vaughn also couldn't be bothered to express any humanity whatsoever after accepting your cash. He looked like there was a bad smell in the room .

Last event I "trooped" at that he attended he kept nipping off to the mens room for a swig from his flask. Stank of booze all weekend and was an allround miserable SOB .

Quite funny watching him stagger back from his "long lunches". :lol

I was at Wizard World Austin last month, and am happy to report that Gil Gerard is a great guy...he seemed very bewildered that anyone cared that he was Buck Rogers. He did a little video for us, and was fantastic.
Also, James Hampton (the dad in Teen Wolf) was hilarious, warm, and very generous. We needed a Sharpie for the table we were running, and his table was the first one I saw, so I borrowed one of his pens. Brought it back later, and got a short video with him as well, at the end of which he admonished me for not buying a picture.
Ernie Hudson was a class act, Luciana Carro was extremely friendly and sweet, and of course I talked with Anne Lockhart again. She's rapidly becoming my very favorite celebrity.
Joan Severance was horrible. She was just the least polite person ever...after meeting her and getting treated like I was a used Kleenex or something, I told her how I remembered staying up late to watch the Red Shoe Diaries when I was a teenager. She got pissed...
Lou Ferrigno was there too, and I have to say...he lived down to every expectation I had of him after reading about other's experiences.

I dunno. I can't say I'd blame Joan Severance for being a bit miffed at being reminded of doing soft-core porn. Maybe tell her you watched her in her story arc on Wiseguy and thought she did a terrific job. I mean, pretty much, for the last what...20 years? She's been doing cheesecake roles.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that it's cool for bitter celebs to work cons and crap all over their fans -- especially while taking their money -- but I can see why they might be bitter. I still say they should stay home, but I wonder if talking to them about roles where they actually got to use real talent instead of just flashing boobs or whatever might soften them up a bit.

i'd heard a lot about tom savini , but met him last year at a make up fx convention in london. the guy was awsome. gave me and my fx partner a signed watercolour print and we talked make up for a while and got pics. a real gent. also met linda Blair a few years ago in milton keynes at another con. she was a darlin !! pure class. a year or so earlier i'd been asked to mould and cast some pazzuzu relics for eileen dietz for an excorcist anniversary thing so they could be gven to some cast and crew. Linda had one and loved it plus gave me some personalised signed pics. got a signed excorcist poster in the post from dick smith too. the make up artist on the movie... thought that was very very kind.

The thing is, she treated me like crap from minute one. It was only after that that I mentioned her foray into spank material.

Steve McQueen. One time I was all like, 'Yo McQueen, let me take your picture!" He plays it cool and all and says yes, but right as I start taking the picture he whips out his dong and goes "say hello to your mother for me."

The result? Well, you can google it.

WHAT?

Aw, HELL naw.

Spill. What's the story?

It was from an interview that AH did for SFX magazine back in 2000.

We mention that Julie (Darla) Benz is rumoured to be a surprise guest and the response is decidedly less enthusiastic. "She was very mean to me. She was, like, the meanest person ever to me. I didn't like her. That was the first season - I still have that grudge, though. I was, you know, on a brand new show, and so excited, and to have someone to be so mean to me, I just wanted to cry. Actually, I think I did."'

Shared an escalator with Kevin Sorbo for a minute at DC '08. It was pretty funny. I wasn't paying attention at all to who got on the escalator in front of me and the wife and all of a sudden he turned around and made some comment about how crazy the convention was. Dude is really big btw. In any case my wife's eyes just about popped out of her head after we got off the escalator, turns out she's a big Hercules/Xena fan. :lol He seemed pretty cool, for what it was.

Well, I have not met too many celebs, but back when Gen Con used to come to Milwaukee, Adrian Paul (Highlander TV show) was a guest. He was very cool and I made him laugh when I told him that he was the only guy my wife thought looked good with long hair.
I also met Steve Sansweet and he was really down to Earth too.
When I met Anthony Daniels, he acted quite the ass. He seemed real full of himself and such. He could've just had an off day, but it was kind of disappointing.

I did a bit of extra work when I lived in LA. The only jerks I came across were on the set of Flags of Our Fathers.

Tom Verica ("American Dreams") and Neal McDonough ("Minority Report", "Walking Tall", etc.) were standing off to one side making fun of an obviously chemically-off extra as he was stretching between takes. Like way off-color 'making fun'.

Same set, same day (was a 16 hour day) - While most of the primary cast hung out with the extras, Ryan Philippe was nowhere to be seen. Now, I guess that's not "jerkish", but we were on a ship out on the ocean. You had to try really hard to get away from everyone. I mean, if Clint Eastwood and Robert Patrick can hang out with us...

Just about everyone else I "worked with" was pretty darn awesome. Except the PA's at "Las Vegas". Total ********.

I know a lot of "celebrities," and I've spent a lot of time working and hanging with the who's who of the film industry, but the only people who've been total asshats are the people who are living in -- and off -- the past: Peter Mayhew and Billy Dee Williams.

I spent all day in Kate Gosselins Hotel room sunday working as her security.. and she didn't even acknowledge me and my partner for the first 2 hours. Now there were only about 7 of us in the room all day with her and she couldn't introduce herself? I ended up making the introductions "oh by the way, I'm Steve"... she was a bit diva-ish. She did start warming up to us at the end of the day though.
Out of the hundreds of celebrities I've worked for, she definitely was the most high maintenance.
