Captain Canuck cosplay!

Another Canuck here! Love the frog tape and dye idea! How did you keep the hexagons symmetrical?
Thanks! As far as the hexes are concerned, I cut a cardboard template based on the width of the tape, and cut them out. Then, attaching them symmetrically was just a matter of patience and good hand/eye co-ordination. Made the sleeves too short though, so gotta do them again! Plus, working on both Nightcrawler and Ant Man at the same time, and farting around with the Vision(gotta have a Marvel character ready for Stan Lee's visit!)

And here it is on, with the gloves and belt for some kind of visual-both with flash and without-bad pics I know, but I don't have anyone to take them right now. More as the suit progresses!

Unworn I was like :/ but when u have it on.... OMG!!! FANTASTIC!!! you have done a great job with that dude!!!! The belt is amazing!!!!... can't wait for more :)

Thanks for the compliment! More to come...

Wow, that hex pattern looks great. It will really help those that want to make the Cap from the Uncanny Avengers.
So what do your other works in progress look like? Will there be a giant unveiling?

Hey Looch, another lower-mainlander here. Did you make it to Fan Expo? I was there on Saturday, but I did not stand in line to meet Stan. The lineup just looked too brutal, plus I didn't have enough spare cash for an autograph.

Hey there, FanExpo was a blast! I was 1940's Captain America on Sat, Alex Ross Batman on Sun. We did a Marvel photoshoot out in the lobby, and Stan himself came and joined us! It was EPIC!

I'll be unveiling CC on July 1st, Canada. Nightcrawler was scrapped, but I'll get a pic of the finished Ant Man soon.

Looking good Looch. I love team Alpha Flight and I just watched the first new webisode of Captain Canuck. I am pretty excited about the updated costume design. Hopefully I can fab one myself for Calgary CEE next spring or even Edmonton CEE this fall. I'm thinking of heading down the foam road making it a bit more solid and to help out in the muscles department but I like what you did with yours. Keep up the great work.

Sorry for the delay in progress, there was major employment crisis here. Back to work on this build very soon.

Hi everyone. I am completely psyched about this build. With the look through I think I am going to tackle a similar build. I am looking long-term. I would like to get it done for October 2014. I was directed here by Mike Valiquette. He works with Smiley Guy Studios and is one of the guys responsible for the reboot. I love the new costume! Just for interest sake, if you watch webisode one, I was written in as one of the thugs. I think I am at :34 of the webisode. I am the long haired thug who gets kicked in the face by Captain Canuck :) I look forward to following this thread.
