Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Pre-release)

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Every time I see Redford I can't help but think he will end up being the Red Skull.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

"People are going to die. Can't let that happen."

My hero!

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Okay, this is a stupid question but...

The Winter Soldier is Bucky, from the first Captian America movie, right?

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

enjoy the Captain America movie but can't help but look at Cap and think he should be bigger in build

Better to have a build than be over built. He's still got to be flexible you know.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I'd rather have someone who can act and deliver this character than some big buff dude who just looks the part.

And Chris Evans has more than proved himself in that regard. Cripes, he's already played three Marvel characters to date.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Yeah, let's not start making the same mistake some of the comics have made with regards to physique...

3? Am I missing something? I'm not sure you can count the cameo in The Dark World.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Enjoy Chris Evans Yes, he is a different Cap for a different age. Cap size wise looked ok in 1st cap movie but is he the imposing figure Captain America should be imho....No.... he looks like he should be at the kids table when the avengers assembled ( for example )

Seriously?
http://

....he is more The Human Torch than he is Captain America in photo above

I am glad they are making the movies Chris evans is doing a fine joband I enjoyed him in tfa but to say without a doubt when I see him in cap's uniform on screen I am seeing Captain America I grew up reading and cheering for come to life I do not and that is what matters to me not what you say what he said what she said what they said or how many photos someone shows me of evans in a t shirt.

As Kevin also demonstrated while I was typing this up, I'm sorry, what?
Obviously there's always room for improvement in anyone's fitness, but Chris Evans is BUILT. It's not like he's some reedy teenager.

Most of his costumes aren't made to directly accentuate it like, say, the man of steel suit, but he's a big strong guy.

Sure, he could add a bit of mass and cut a little leaner if he wanted to, but if he were significantly larger than his current frame he'd look pretty goofy.
I think what you really don't like is the appearance of the costume, not the man.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

If that's the case.... are Black Widows breats large enough in comparison to the drawn version of her? I've been able to get past the fact that comic book character physiques are drawn to near impossible perfection. Plus, their clothing is always skin tight so it shows every muscle fiber and vein. Is that what you're looking for? It would look ridiculous in real life. If you want that, turn on SyFy and watch WWE wrestling.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I agree. I don't want them to cast WWF size guys for superheroes. That is just ridiculous. I think even in the comics they should be drawn more realistic. That's why I can't even hardly watch the animated stuff these days. Shoulders five feet wide, waist like a little girl, eyes the size of pancakes, chins the size of a shoebox--I hate all that crap.
